Amulet: The Stonekeepers Curse MOTION COMIC (Part 1 Voices)

Project Overview

Hello everyone!


I'm Noah. I'm the guy who is directing this project. I hope you wall have fun and audition for characters. And if it means anything a lot of people really want me to make this so... Yep (wink wink)


Amulet Book 2 is a fairly long graphic novel filled with characters, some of which appear more than once. I plan on breaking up this 200 page graphic novel into 4 parts/4 Episodes. Here you can see the rough draft of the first episode.


Amulet Book One is about Emily and her family moving to their great-grandfathers house. Emily finds an amulet and little did she know that the amulet held great power. That same night  their mother is taken by a spider monster. Emily and her brother follow the monster and find themselves in a different land (Much like Lion/Witch/Wardrobe). The hunt the monster while also discovering Silas, their great-grandfather,  is still alive. With help from Silas robots they hunt the monster but realize something else is hunting the children: a powerful elf. After fighting him off, they take their mother back to Silas home for treatment but the mother was poisoned. Their only hope is to go to the nearest city of Kanalis for help. Honestly, kinda confusing but it's really amazing graphic novel. Amulet Book Two takes place right after. Emily and her friends are making their way to Kanalis because they need medication for their mother. The Elf turns out to be the son of the ELf King, the tyrant who rules over the land who now orders Emily and her family to be hunted.  Please for the love of....just watch the rough draft :I


THINGS THAT I AM ASKING FOR:

A decent microphone. I know how to clean audio but I'm a not a miracle worker. You need to be able to shout without peaking in the microphone. 

3-4 weeks for lines. I understand that some people are super busy, But I normally give people 3-4 weeks to do lines. Although of course if you need more time i can wait longer.

Retakes: There will be times where I'll ask for retakes. Please note that this is not meant to speak poorly on you, but sometimes I need a line to be more specific.


Don't be shy to to do a few takes for each audition.  It's okay to try out different types of voices for each character.

  • First Episode Finally DONE! Woo

    Hey everyone. I don't know if people still care or anything, but I am happy to announce that Amulet Book 2 Episode 1 is finally done and posted on youtube. I really do try to do the best that I can as well as the actors that lend me their talent and voices. So thanks to everyone who helped! I am working on Episode 2 and the moment.   • Update 4/21/2020 Slow Process

    Hello everyone! Sorry for the slightly dramatic title haha. Just wanted to update you all on the episode. I'm waiting for a few more lines and the video will be done. Due to the virus and it's effect on life, the time it would normally takes for me to finish a motion comic with voice acting has taken longer than usual. Although I'm fine with waiting. I hope everyone is staying safe and I couldn't be happier that even with everything that's happening in the world the voice actors were still able to send me their lines. I'm also pretty happy with what we have. Amulet Book 2 Episode 1 is about 90 percent done and it looks and sounds great so far. I've added and changed some things from the rough draft and I think it's just better now with pacing and sound effects. Every time I make a new motion comic I try to make it my mission to create the best thing I've done up until that point. I really haven't made a large motion comic in some time so I'm glad the experience so far has been great. Anyway, so the episode is almost done. Hopefully only a few more weeks until I am able post the finished project. I'm sorry that it's taking longer than usual but I hope to finish it soon.   • Deadline was pushed back 1 week

    Hey everyone! Noah here. Firstly, I want to thank everyone who auditioned. I am not going to lie, I was slightly nervous when making this casting call because of the amount of people I would need in the first episode alone. But I'm glad with how things have turned out. I have plugged some of the auditions into the video and I'm really excited to see the finished project. I forgot how much I loved putting motion comics together. Secondly, I moved the deadline a week. There are a few characters that I need (like Mrs. Wade) so I am probably going to reach out to a few voice actors to see if I can get them to audition. I'm sorry if people were waiting to see if they got the characters today. I have also started working on Episode 2 in hopes to quicken the pace of the series so by the time I finish Episode 1, I can already begin the casting process of Episode 2. If you are a newcomer wanting to audition, please watch the rough draft. I know it's 20ish minutes long, but I am quite sure it will help you with your audition. The self named king of Alledia. He is an elf, and rules the land with an iron fist. He fears no one and has a calm demeanor. 

He has never been voiced before so I'm not sure how he would sound. I feel like he would have an older voice. Perhaps with an English accent? Voice with bass, smooth and calm. But honestly, let your imagination go wild. Please do multiple takes if you want. Something....unique.

  • (slightly dissapointed while sitting on his throne) *sigh* "I guess it should come as no surprised....to see that my son has failed me again."

  • (No faith in his son, almost dismissive) "Luger will be joining you on your return mission to make sure the job gets done."

  • (patient) Why do you resist? Did you not ask me to lend you more support? Luger fights with the strength of ten soldiers, he will sever you well.

Seemingly the Elf Kings right hand elf. He is older and balding, but strong and experienced. He is a general and loyal servant to his lord. 

Cold and calculating. Like most adult males, I assume he has a deeper voice. But maybe he doesn't. You can try a few different voices.


He is the main bad guy for Book 2. Deliciously evil. 

  • (After finding the children who the intend to capture. He waits for the right moment to set a trap) Not yet.. Have someone follow them. We will need to separate them from their house in order to take it over.... Now watch carefully Trellis, I'm going to show you how to earn your fathers trust.

  • (The children are in a small clinic where he aims canons at)  Prepare the canon.,,,,sometimes sacrifices must be made for the greater good.

  • (Talking to the Elf King) We haven't found them. Not yet, my lord. But the hunt has already begun.

A pig man, older, stocky/fat. I don't think I want him to snort a lot. But I expect him to have a louder/gruff voice. Like from years of smoking or something.

A bounty hunter on a mission to help and protect Emily and her family because he believes she is the key to stopping the Elf King. For some reason I imagine him with an Australian accent. But if you can't do one, that's fine. Just do what is comfortable for you.

His lines are very scene specific(meaning they have emotions that are hard to describe without watching it) so PLEASE watch the rough draft so that you can watch how those lines come up. 

I looked up and found out that Leon is something like 30 years old. 

  • (Explaining why there is a line of people looking for food/Please watch the rough draft to see how this line comes up)They're farmers. The elves took their land and left them with nothing... Now they're forced to beg for the very same food they used to harvest. 

  • You're being hunted by the elves... I offer my services as a bodyguard.

  • (After something bad happened and they need to move on) Look... you're going to need my help. Whether you like it or not.

A normal nurse. Cheerful.  I imagine a somewhat southern accent but not required. She seems happy with her job. If I had to put an age for her, I am putting it at mid 30's.

  • (Cheery/ People person) Well, I'd say you've come to the right place. Please follow me. 

  • (Talking to the doctor) You have another patient to see you.

A doctor. Middle age. He will return in both Amulet Book 2 Episodes 1-2-3.  I honestly don't know what accent he has, but I imagine a calming/ softer voice Like older Bilbo Baggings (minus the accent)

  • (Talking to Emily and her friends) Hello, I'm Dr. Weston. Is she the patient?..Let's have a look at her.

  • (realizing the mother is beyond saving with his skills, serious) They are highly toxic, Most cases result in death...she's lucky to still be alive. ,,,Only the fruit of the Gadoba (Ga- Do- Ba) tree can fight the venom and cure her.

Lower class mother. She shows up when an elf guard is yelling at her to stop her child from crying. She is scared and timid, Softer voice after years.

  • (Elf Guard yelling at her. She is scared of her and her child getting hurt) Please sir! You're scaring him!

  • (After Leon saves her by letting HIMSELF get hit by the Elf Guard. She helps him back up after he was punched down. I imagine her with a voice soft, speaking only to Leon) Are you hurt? ...I wish those terrible elves would just go away.

  • (Following the children to kill them but Leon cuts him off) Huh?...What are you doing?!.. Get out of the way!!

  • (Pointing his dagger towards Leon. Getting ready to kill Leon) I said....get out... of my... WAY!!!

Gruff deep voice. Cliche big guy voice. He is a guard/servant to the Elf King who captures and brings in Prince Trellis. 

  • (Forcing Trellis to see his father. Doesn't care who Trellis is) Hmph. You better start behaving, boy. Youre father will hurt you worse than us, I swear to you... And I, for one, hope he does.

  • (Punches Trellis for mouthing off) That was done on the King's orders. The next time, I'm going to break something, got it ?

  • (Talking to the doorguard) Prince Trellis is here to see his father, the Elf King.
