Associate's Degree in Theatre - acquired on July 2024, including theatre acting for stage and screen, technical theatre aspects, and film study. Now currently working towards my bachelor's degree at the University of Georgia.
An introduction course for acting on stage and screen, studying different acting methods and learning scene study.
Course description: "This course examines the relationship between writing and cinema by focusing on films influenced
by literary genres, including the novel, short story, nonfiction essay, poem, and comics. We will consider
classic and contemporary theories of film adaptation as well as historical and industry-specific issues to
address our central questions: 'What does film contribute to the aesthetic projects of other mediums?” and
“How can studying film adaptation allow us to better understand what it is that literature does?'"
Course description: “'Concentration on voice, movement, and character study for actors.' -CAPA The SCENE is the building block of the actor’s art. Our job as artists is to take the words written in the script and transform them into real moments of conflict, passion, humor and revelation. This class will focus on providing you with practical steps toward bringing the script to life by studying the scene and deciphering the clues contained therein!"
This course is an introduction to movement and voice techniques for the stage and screen actor. It explores a wide range of fundamental processes to provide the student with more centered, free, playful, and dynamic artistic expression.
