I'm sorry but I'm not buying it. This audition has no effort put into it at all, there's no emotion and the sound quality is terrible. There's a static noise in the back of your microphone and you sound like youre recording through headphones. The character description says a high energy punk, but you put no emotion into any of these lines. You did it all in one take, I can tell because if there was more than one take, there would've a cut. And that got me thinking. How does this guy have 18 upvotes and so many positive comments? Then I decided to check the profiles that commented. As of today 2/11/16, not one of those accounts have made any auditions, projects, for Christ's sake not one of them has even filled out their profile. Also who in their right mind goes to a casting call website, listens to ONE audition, and decides to make an account to be able to comment because it was THAT good? NOONE. I declare, that you sir, are a liar and you're creating fake accounts so you can like and comment on your own audition to make it look better. No one person in their right mind would believe this even for a second. You're making this website look bad and you're making it harder for people who put ACTUAL TIME AND EFFORT into their auditions like phantomvive, mvajd709, et cetera; to find work. It demoralizes other people when they're obviously better, but another person is getting all the fame. All the proof is here.
After thinking it over. There's one more possibility, and that's that you got your friends to make accounts on this website, just so they could upvote and comment to make you look better. This gives you an unfair advantage because all of these people would have a personal bias towards you making it harder for other people to catch up. Both of these reasons that I've listed are slimy tactics and your should feel ashamed of yourself. I say this cause it's pretty obvious you did one of these possibilities considering all the proof c;

Alright so I'll say at the time of making those comments, I was a bit hot headed. But I still stand by what I believe. I listed more than enough reasons on why this is suspicious. And yes I may be wrong but I just don't buy it. I'm sorry if you're offended by that and I apologize if I am wrong, but I just don't think I am. Almost every account I've seen on this website has made a project/audition and I understand if you're trying to get set up before doing any of that, but I just checked the profiles and they're still empty. I see a lot of auditions with a lot of comments. And 99% of every account that comments has at least 1 project/audition on their account. I think it's strange how the 1% of people that didn't fill out their profile commented and voted on this one audition. I just find that strange. I understand that quality is subjective and the project never specified what they wanted but for a project like this, that has probably had months of work poured it, a normal person would want the best quality out of their actors. But still that's just my opinion. The other thing that just freaks me out is that a person made an account because an audition was THAT good. It's just strange but not impossible, I'll give you that. It does sound like a conspiracy theory, but it was no way crazy or completely out of left field. I had my reasons and I could be wrong but there just seem to be too many "coincidences". If there was audition that I liked that had fake accounts voting, I would call them out too; and jumping to the conclusion that I called him out because I didn't like the audition seems completely out of left field without any proof. And yes the way I initially acted was unprofessional and I apologize Iggy.
I'm sorry you didn't like my audition, yes i did share my audition on different social media site's as of friends i don't know who is who on what out of my follower's but to be honest auditions are usually based on what the person wants and not how many vote's one gets. As for effort i actually spent 4 hours recording this because i really like the art style of this animation and i did really want to be apart of it as you can see tho i only tried for one position instead of multiple characters to make it fair if i don't get this i don't which is fine. tho i would like to say this that i did try for this character i did do it in one take after 4 hours of deleting everything else cause i didn't like them i actually i'm still learning adobe audition most times i have someone else editing but due to his schedule i was not able to use him sorry for that i wish i could have made it better. but i don't think I've taken away from anyone i don't think demoralize anyone only did what everyone had the opportunity to do and share. To be honest with you i wanted to do this out of pure infatuation with the project there is no pay or fame to be had i just really dug the art style and wanted to share on my portfolio no slimy tactics were used in fashion since there's nothing to gain. so as for the mic i actually have a mic not a headphone one like i said tho i am still learning adobe audition to which why i used this on a non paying gig myself if i got the project i would have scheduled studio time like the rest of my project's.
Just as a word of advice for those auditioning and those listening to others audition. Please make sure to keep your criticism to a minimum. Make sure that the criticism is more focused on how one can improve. We at Studio Hiro appreciate everyone's auditions and judge them fairly.
