Class B Week 8 Homework Submission
AmberMarie for Charlie's Charming Chocolate Factory
Monologue: Be careful not to focus entirely on the acting side and forget the techniques that you've been practicing for the first half of this course. The first breath you take and the posture you are starting the read with will greatly influence how you start off. If you are the type who are slow to get engaged into your read, this could be the reason. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to always be having fun with your reads.
Please provide a feedback to someone who has not yet received one yet.
Have Fun!
Loved it. Sounds very professional.
You have a great positive voice in this read. Try adding more gestures to bring out your excitement. Think about the specifics of who is listening to you and what you want them to feel after hearing you. Right now, you have that "listen to me, I am voice acting right now!!" kind of voice. When you gave your reply in your own words, you were much more natural, and there was an immediate connection between you and your message.
Thanks for this advice, John! You are dead on. I struggle with what to focus on and right now with all that you’ve taught us and narrating is the best way for me to read and be aware of what I’ve learned. For next weeks class' homework I will take this to heart and make you proud!
Sounds very good! I liked your enunciation and the emphasis you put on certain words.
Thanks, Ethan!
