Izuku Midoriya, commonly known by his nickname, "Deku," is a U.A. student working towards his personal goal of being the #1 Hero. He is polite, impressionable, and friendly, although rather easy to manipulate. He was childhood friends with Katsuki Bakugou, and as such, he refers to Bakugou by the nickname of "Kacchan." Although "friends" may be a bit of a stretch, considering that he was often the victim of bullying from Bakugou.

This role is one of those "male protagonists that could very well be played by a female" that show up a lot in television, though a male would probably suit him better.
