Role assigned to: Moxenial

Callidus Praceo was once a part of the peaceful tribe known as the New Canaanites and named Robert. Robert disliked living with the New Canaanites and in his early teens, he left New Cannan with Joshua Graham, a formerly powerful member of Caesar's Legion. Graham is Callidus’ idol, and to this day Callidus worships Graham in spite of everything he’s done. Callidus is the head of the Frumentarii, the spies of Caesar's Legion. He acquired such a position by engineering the Bright Town Massacre, a successful military strike. Callidus is normally calm and collected, similar to Vulpes from Fallout: New Vegas. However, he becomes emotional whenever topics such as his hero (Graham) are brought up.

Context: Caesar's Legion or The Legion is a faction of ruthless soldiers that aim to unite all denizens of the wasteland under its banner whether they like it or not. The acts of enslaving tribes they take over, genocide, re-educating the youth to rid them of their original culture, and crucifixion, are all common practices to them.

Record all audition lines while referring to the notes below for each line and do one take of each line.

For the first audition line, you are impressed by the main character's bravado. Most random survivalists wouldn't dare make such a bold request under such circumstances, but not this person which makes him/her unique and of interest. However, you try to not appear too impressed or excited and maintain your calm persona to protect your reputation. You can't help, but applaud the main character for his display of bravery. You are curious and considering the possible work you could assign to such a survivalist and how you guys will work and interact with one another moving forward.

For the second audition line,  you are dissing someone who joined a faction you disapprove of. You aren't angry or agitated in any way. You talk about the man and his choice as a parent would comment on their child making a mistake. It is ultimately irrelevant for you now but still something you still would like to comment on. You maintain your calm demeanor and merely scoff at such a person. You hope the main character sees this person in the same light that you do: a joke that is slightly pitiful and very weak.

For the third audition line, you are talking about a sensitive topic: your idol, Joshua Graham. You are not calm and can't control your emotions. You can't believe what you're hearing from the main character. You don't want to believe any of it and it shocks you. Fear fills your mind as you recount the sight of him burning and tumbling down into the Grand Canyon screaming and considering how he might look like if he survived all of that. You are slightly angry at the main character for raising such a claim and generating such gruesome images and feelings within you. For once in your cold career as a spy ringleader, you feel shaken due to considering how Joshua Graham would have to deal with such physical and mental damage if he had survived and how it may be better for Joshua Graham if such claims are just hearsay. The main character's claims are sure to make you keep on thinking about Graham's fate for a while and have trouble getting a good night's sleep.

  • "So, you're the courier who asked to join us in the middle of being tortured.

After killing at least twenty Legionaries, flanked by a loyal squad of NCR.

If nothing else, I admire your bravado."

  • "A joker and a fool. He only joined the Wolfpack thanks to a twist of fate. He doesn't belong there, something he's all too aware of. "

  • "No, you're lying. Not after what happened to him! I saw the fire burn past his skin and stain his bones!"
