When The Shutter Stops
SongBirb12 for Priscilla Vate, Young
Character: Priscilla(Pri) Vate, Young
Description: A hard boiled pint sized detective
Gender: F
Age: Preteen-Early Teen, Approximately 10-13.
Personality: Tomboy, Broody, Bossy.
Notes: Character swears in early scenes. Character has some shouting and screaming lines.
Synopsis: If the young Priscilla Vate could be compared to another character in fiction, it'd very likely be a little-girl version of Sam Spade(The Maltese Falcon.) She's serious to a fault and her abrasive, often bratty personality and 'potty mouth' directly puts her at odds with assistants and suspects alike. The attitude's supported by Priscilla's track record and trauma and, despite her age and stature, she's accustomed to the life of a hardboiled PI.
(Threatening, Assertive) "This isn't a lemonade stand, Mr. Jacobson. She's going to take a lot more than that away from you if you don't have these pictures. "
(Sad, Angry) "Protocol, huh? That's the word they use to justify murder."
(Mocking, Frustrated) "Maybe they should have asked dear sweet Valerie to come solve this case instead of me."
I actually think your version of her voice might make a good Young Adult version of her voice. If you have the time, and you're interested, I'd like you to audition for the adult version of the character too.
I would love to. I'm getting a better Mic this weekend, so will you wait till then so you can have a more accurate audio quality of what my recordings will be like please?
Sure, we can wait. You've got plenty of time. Auditions won't close until the 17th for the roles I can cast, and I probably won't make a decision until at least late next week.
