‘Soul Harbor’ Video Game
Flip for Gillian
Masculine, 18-21 years old
Backstory: Gillian always dreamed of joining the adventuring guild. He was left with a motivation to pursue this when a sense of vengeance took hold of his life after a Yokai raid on the village his family lived in. His parents perished in the attack, leaving him alone to protect his sister, adventuring being his source of income that also helps him pursue his goal of eliminating as many Yokai as he can.
Personality: Gillian is a straightforward dude with a big heart and an outgoing personality, always happy to dive into another adventure and help those in need. However, that friendly attitude flips when faced with Yokai, revealing his disdain and hatred of them - considering them cruel beasts who need to be slain at all costs. He treats his party like his family, replacing the hole his dead parents left behind with his new friends. Accordingly, his care and bond with his sister at home is an important aspect of his character. In many ways, Gillian appears as the "Hero" type archetype, creating a contrast to the outwardly rather gloomy protagonist Quinn.
Voice Quality/Tone: High Energy, Hero-type. Casual and informal. Bro-energy. There is no difference between his inside and outside voice. Curious and will ask a question without thinking it over first. Act first, think later.
