This is one of the lead roles. KNIGHT is an older Knight character that is deadset on completing his mission: Defeating the Evil Queen. The mage he requested to come aid him on his quest is not as... experienced as he would like. He stubbornly decides to take matters into his own hands and fights her on his own. It does not work. He has to find a way to look past his perception of this young mage, and work together to complete their quest!

I'd like an adult voice, someone who can convey that the character has had many experiences and wisdom. Think: Kratos from The God of War. If possible, having your own equipment to record would be good.

--> Will need the lines in the script, as well as some grunts/moans/sounds of being hit, as this is an action-based film.

NOTE: I will be able to share the character designs and the animatic that I have currently, but please note that they will continue to be updated all the way until December, thus may need some revisions from the voice actor.

  • You were supposed to be here TWO HOURS ago!

  • ENOUGH! We must stop the Evil Queen before she goes on one of her tirades again!

  • Certain spells should be very useful against her. Elemental magic, light illusions… Armour enhancement spells.

woah how did you manage to sound so clean?!

Do you mean the audio quality or the additions of grit without losing vocal quality?

      audio quality mainly :)

Oh, that's the easier part. I've got the gain down pretty low and I project into the microphone. Sound treated room so no echo, and decent headphones so no voice playback going into the mic.

Then it's just using the 5 seconds or so I leave silent for a "room noise" profile, then a 12 db reduction on said noise. That's basically the entire process, nothing fancy. Mic distance helps quite a bit as well to avoid the proximity effect, as well as a cheap pop filter. If you're using Audacity, the mouth "De-Clicker" is a great plug-in to rid yourself of mouth noises.

        Hope some of that helps.
