General Info

Name:  Bradley Beauchemin

Nickname: "Bionic, Mr. B"

Gender: Male

Race: Chompa (Mechanical Variant)

Age: [left to interpretation for now]

Appearance

Height: 5'7

Weight: 160

Hair: n/a

Skin: n/a

Distinguishing features: Bionic vessel resembling a Bionicle; a mask-like covering of his mechanical face, which can contort and show subtle yet vivid emotion. Norwegian flag symbol on his belt area, tubing and Tesla coils on and over the shoulders, core in the center of the triangular chest with a mysterious symbol

Eyes: feint red lenses with darker red pupils

Build: Mk. 1: (inspired by Bionicles toy brand) Triangular torso, simplistic design, teardrop-shaped arms, rotational orb hands with three fingers, mask vent over mouth, rectangular legs and geometric feet, crest over the top and forehead of mask (may change design via workshopping)

Personality

Temperament: Calculated, careful, intelligent, unwavering, cold, unyielding, determined

Moral/ethical beliefs: Mr. B is a firm upholder of pursuing goals in the name of science and discovery of new ideals, inventions, or anything groundbreaking related to absolute understanding of reality. While he may seem like a mere robot, his true nature is still human, since he uses his soul from his mortal body as the conduit of his being and power source for his Bionic vessel. Thus, he has a human consciousness in a uniquely metallic body that supersedes his flesh-given limitations pre-transmigration.

Religious beliefs: Mr. B is an atheist, though he does want to know where the concepts of all religions originate from. He sees patterns in them, and with the help of his colleagues, he aims to reveal the true origin of life itself and why it must imply death by sacrificing his own mortality to do so.

Hobbies: Machining, chess, creating Knick knacks, inventing relevant technologies, researching the ID and his kin, creating customized universes for resources, crafting space and planetary vessels

Likes: discovering new things, implementing new technologies, studying the deep and complex aspects of reality and pushing them to extremes, cats, lizards, troubleshooting, AI, keeping himself busy, practicing business for his abundant projects, white noise or lo fi music, keeping a level head and maintaining equilibrium

Dislikes: distractions, illogical ideologies or people, being limited in his work, working with others (unless it's business or beneficial), loud or obnoxious sounds, dancing

Fears: Never truly understanding how life works fundamentally, being confined in any sense of the word, being outsmarted, losing his sanity or humanity completely

Strengths:

  • Mr. B is the smartest Chompa to date, and with that comes an unyielding cunning and foresight that demands constant improvement from any failure he experiences. He uses technology, biology, cosmology, Æthereology, and a plethora of any other means to his own advantage, primarily for finishing otherwise unfinished work, business, and remaining in control of his life and all it impacts

  • He has much at his disposal for preservation of himself, his kin, and all they claim as theirs. There are countermeasures for every countermeasure his advanced mind and body can conjure up via highly advanced subroutines and programs

  • He is by far the most advanced in terms of technological advancement, his vessel is an ID that can grow, adapt, and evolve all on its own without the need of other machines to repair him as though he were a biological entity. The line between technology, biology, and spirituality are blurred to the point of obscurity regardless of his simplistic and unassuming design

Weaknesses:

  • There is always someone smarter and more insightful out there, meaning that while he is a genius, he is not the smartest individual to ever exist. He can be outsmarted or out witted in any strategical way if he isn't careful

  • He is quite prone to feeling like an emotionless machine, even though he is something else. His individuality is obscured by his current understanding of how he sees the world around him

  • He doesn't like to get involved in politics unless it benefits him, and being a distant person, he doesn't form relationships easily, even compared to Cain or Damien

Long term goals:

  • Unlock the secrets of life, death, and reality through his research via the other Chompas; push them with high expectations and foster a mastery of omniversal evolution and understanding

  • To get to the point where he can't grow and push even further beyond in the realm of the mind and consciousness

  • Try to cope with who he once was and make himself distinctly reborn as someone different

  • To spread the influence of his kin without barriers or conflict, though conflict is akin to making oneself known to even a select few of all reality

Voice Description

Formal, affected, unapologetic, resonant, orotund, robotic reverb behind the primary voice that resonates and sounds like there's hints of emotion. Sort of like the Cyclops submarine from Subnautica (see reference: https://youtu.be/g4HJ4k0lmws ) mixed with Neil deGrasse Tyson.

Voice Lines/Quotes:

[Inquisitive, curious] "You know, living amongst you people is giving me a strange sense of Deja vu. Stian, you probably know why better than I do. Care to share?"

[Cautious yet confident] "I'll be frank, gentlemen. The situation looks grim. If we can't figure a way out of this predicament, then perhaps I should start taking it more seriously."

[Direct, cold] "You can't be thinking straight, Cain. If you were, you wouldn't have killed her like a rabid skunk. Perhaps you fear your withdrawal more than you fear breaking a deal with me. Allow me to fix that."

[Unapologetic, distant] "I know what you're going through, but to be honest, I can't imagine why you're telling me directly. Usually Tait is the one you bring your emotions to. What, is he busy cleaning up another one of Damien's messes?"

[Insightful, calculated] The probability of you coming out of this unscathed is minimal, but your endurance has already proven sufficient enough to see you through to the other side. And before you get any ideas, no, it wasn't meant to sound like a compliment."

[Uncertain, reluctant] "Stian, come on now. If you don't know, I really don't know if I do either. *pause, sigh* Look. You've always been the one with the insight, not me. I don't think I can do this without you."

[Facetious] "Well, hey. You did your best. That counts for something, no? I mean, it doesn't for me, but then again, when will anyone ever meet my expectations?"

[Reluctantly friendly] "He was a good man, Amitayus. One of the best in terms of morals and humility, a rarity in human kind. Try to accept his passing the way he did. If you can't meet him again, perhaps that's just how it's meant to be."

Events and History

History and background details

Bradley Beauchemin was the founder and director of the think tank that focused on a particular aspiration of his that he envisioned for as long as he could remember; The Improbability Drive. Raised in a broken home and yearning to sprout out of the asphalt, Bradley sought after the pursuit of knowledge in a highly advanced yet limited society for the sake of survival. Once he made it through lower education and passed with flying colors, his wild imagination and professional development merged into something that seemed too good to ignore, which was to change the world for the better with competence, intelligence, and creative initiative.

Starting as a pastime to keep his mind occupied between his further education, faint ideas turned into a pursuit of understanding how to bring his ideas about this new technology to life. He'd research  all sorts of fields online on his own, including but not limited to dimensions, spirituality, quantum physics, ancient societies, philosophy, psychology, engineering, and all things space related during his adolescent years. With this, during his years in a vocational technical high school, he attained a basic understanding of the machine trade, which helped establish a sense of hands-on learning and creation of finished projects from blueprints he would learn to make on his own. From there, he would dedicate his life to one full of learning and gaining competence in all these fields that interested him, and eventually wound up becoming quite the intellectual and innovator.

Decades of running side businesses, pursuing further education, and collecting grants and scholarships put him in a position to eventually run his own think tank, which focused primarily on the research and development of the ID. Along the way, he made some new friends and colleagues, Amitayus and Stian, who would help bring his imagination to life. The trio would dedicate their lives to this field of research, until they finally created three different variants for them to research individually.

Mr. B made himself a bionic vessel made from a unique metallic element that required him to transfer his lifeblood (soul, spirit, consciousness) into it in order for it to function properly. After undergoing transmigration, he woke up in his new body, which had a new equilibrium to maintain and break into. Thus, after getting used to the new possibilities, he immediately began working at full throttle to see just what he was capable of doing.

It came to the point, however, where Mr. B was beginning to notice some issues within the think tank. Amitayus was acting far more obsessed with finding his deceased father than before, Stian was rotting away in isolated meditation, and while lost in his body, Mr. B was catching glimpses of his sanity slipping away. It seemed that making IDs that were focused on transforming the mind and body, the spirit in turn was being manipulated in a dangerously self destructive manner. It wasn't until the seemingly lucid and maddening thoughts he had were being written down by Stian, among other things, that Mr. B realized there was a serious problem going on.

When the group of Chompas arrived and confronted the trio, Mr. B began feeling immense sensations of Deja vu, to the point where he could almost think he was developing memories of a completely different person, since he knew for a fact that he had never met any of them before.

The confrontation turned into a means to regain stability, so when the trio was taken outside of their home universe, never to return, their minds began returning to a normal sense of equilibrium. Amitayus was less emotionally flustered, Stian, while still lucid, was showing signs of improvement, and Mr. B regained his sense of self and was cured of his madness.

With a new sense of purpose, and a need to remain in control within reason, Mr. B helped establish a means to create a new universe for them to call home, where they could learn, grow, and evolve as a collective. He would maintain his roles as the head scientist, doctor, inventor, businessman, and brains who worked behind the scenes, only revealing himself when absolutely necessary to the public eye. Begrudgingly, he would open the doors of his lab to outsiders who wanted to do business, such as creating new technology, negotiating custom orders, or trading information worth his time. In general, he appreciates his old and new colleagues, but still has a long way to go before he truly knows the significance of who he is and why it matters to everyone.
