General Info

Name:  Stian Scriver

Nickname: "Sketch"

Gender: Male

Race: Chompa

Age: [left to interpretation for now, appears early 30's]

Appearance

Height: 5'6

Weight: 25 lbs

Hair: n/a

Skin: n/a

Distinguishing marks: half closed third eye, missing right arm with floating skeleton hand

Eyes: hollow sockets with red eyes

Clothing: purple and brown robes, cloaked hood, leather boots

Personality

Temperament: Spontaneous, lucid, insightful, passive, patient, jovial, jesterly, enthusiastic, existential

Moral/ethical beliefs: Stian is a passive and equally influential individual who is capable of many feats, though doesn't boast about his role in the group. He finds transcribing history and sagas as a creative outlet that helps him cope with his psychosis. Generally speaking, Stian is a pacifist, unbiased, and conflict avoidant. However, if someone is deemed necessary to learn lessons in real time, or to be stopped with his assortment of perks, he is not afraid to do so.  He is also an amazing therapist for the group, leaning toward an existential approach.

Religious beliefs: Stian isn't afraid to take in the perspectives of all religions, thus rendering him more open minded than devoted to any singular spiritual discipline or gospel. He sees them as sources that are used for population control, faith in higher beings or ideologies, and an outcome of tribal growth and development due to geological placement and cultural evolution. He knows much about how this segment of reality truly operates, but has difficulty relaying it to others without sounding insane or psychotic in articulated words. His psychedelic mentality makes it hard for his reasoning and sanity to manifest beyond his written words.

Hobbies: Reading, writing, creating an abundance of creative projects, collecting relics of their pasts, counseling

Likes: Arcane magic, deep meditation, eating and drinking, solitude, music, literature, AI, traveling

Dislikes: medication, not being able to properly explain how things truly operate, participating in physical combat, gross smells, breaking his bones

Fears: Losing himself in his head forever, not being able to complete his end goals, any of his kin dying before they're ready, bears, skeletons

Strengths:

  • Stian has unnatural insight thanks to his third eye. His mind is his greatest asset, capable of sensing otherwise translucent and vague conceptions of himself and others, as well as using multidimensional means to influence the physical and spiritual realms

  • He may be a skeleton with a brain in the 3D, but his senses have transcended into higher dimensions

  • Stian loves to write and transcribe all that he senses and sees, to the point where he jots down notes, writes a library's worth of texts and a studio's worth of creative content to spread the word of the Chompa race

  • When he is collected and grounded, he makes up for his general lucid mentality in insight, judgment, proper translation of said insight, and overall usefulness in the most abstract or hard-to-understand fields. He can be a great ambassador and a charismatic voice of reason

Weaknesses:

  • Stian suffers from chronic psychosis, and while his grounded mentality comes in waves or episodes, he is generally detached from 'reality'

  • He is not fond of fighting others in combat, thus he is not as powerful as the warrior Chompas

  • Stian can come off as overwhelming or spontaneous, making him seem like a liability in many situations ways

  • In many cases, he seems to forget his own identity

Long term goals:

  • Spreading the word of his people's life stories and lessons to anyone who will listen; Transcribe and translate all that flows through his skull, immortalizing them in history in case they don't live forever

  • Overcoming his psychosis so he may remain grounded indefinitely

  • Help however he can to ensure the longevity of his kin

  • Ensuring that all that his kin influence grow and evolve into enlightened buds of reality

 Voice Description

Raised, euphonic, dry (sounds similar to Hubert Farnsworth from Futurama or Mr. Hippo from FNAF 6), pleasant to listen to

Voice Lines/Quotes:

[Good mood, enthusiastic] "Well well! Look at you, so full of spunk and vigor! I've always been fascinated by your saga, Primus. You were the first, after all! Oh, and look how much you've grown since then! Props all around!"

[Lucid, detached from reality] "Don't you worry about me, dear old friend. My life has been fulfilled since I took the initiative. My word, and how do you bear all those thoughts clogging your neurons? I can see them, you know. And hear them. They're crying out that which you repress."

[Wise, insightful] "You know, I've learned more things from you guys than I would ever learn in my own life. Truth be told, it's why I still aim to spread the word of our histories. People need to know what we've been through for their own sake!"

[Confused] "Hm? Who am I? That's a good question. I certainly know your name, but mine feels more like an illusionary label than a proper noun."

[Grounded, down to earth] "I won't get carried away, given the circumstances. It seems like we need to get out of here sooner than later, if we want to avoid collateral damage. You lead the way,  gentlemen."

[Inspired] "He may have started it all, but I for one cannot believe his influence was completely black and white. Sure, many have suffered thanks to him, but we mustn't let that dictate how we live our lives for the worse. We can set an example on his behalf, for the sake of all those he influenced and then some."

[Sad, regretful] "How can I begin to come down when I've climbed so high above the clouds? That fact makes me wonder how my loved ones must have felt to lose me like that. It's madness. I don't even recall how I was prior to taking the initiative, despite all I currently know about everyone else."

[Consoling, existential, hopeful] "We are a special form of our evolutionary descendants, who can prove to everyone what life and death are all about. Even if we aren't all good eggs, we have stories to tell that are relevant to whomever we happen upon. I can't think of a better way to live our immortal lives to the fullest."

[Reassuring] "Don't lose your hope, Amitayus. If we keep evolving at this pace, I have no doubt you'll be able to see him again, if only for one final goodbye."

[Foreboding] "Sanity is as delicate as life itself. All it takes is the right circumstances and 'poof'- you're gone."

Events and History

History and background details

Stian Scriver was a colleague and friend of Amitayus Frontasius and Bradley Beauchemin, who collectively funded their own think tank for researching a peculiar form of technology known as the Improbability Drive. His field of study was existential psychology, as well as transcribing and documenting all the research for the group, and was keen on writing research papers that would be shared with the scientific community. He would implement his understanding of the existential questions and translate them to the group, which helped better understand the findings that the ID provided them.

Always the insightful one, Stian was always studying the research and offering feedback for Bradley's experiments, and worked with Amitayus in regards to the way this technology could change the world and any individual who happened to be connected to it. He was also a wise cracking smart alec who would lighten the room with his banter and casual conversations, which helped keep morale up and progress treading forward at an admirable pace. He usually acted as the psychologist for the trio, and whenever he needed to be there to offer his insight and expertise regarding their mental well-being, he always was.

It was when the first three official prototypes of the ID were created that the playing field changed for these geniuses. The one that Stian ingested was made with a base of LSD, which was due to Stian's side hussle of researching psychedelic drugs. Seeing parallels and opportunities beyond words or documentation alone within merging the technology with psychedelics, he took the initiative and his life changed forever. He suddenly became diagnosed with acute psychosis, which would turn him into a spontaneous, unpredictable liability to their cause, which put a damper on productivity until he started writing down his thoughts and sensations. He would be kept in an isolated study room, where he would sit, write, and decompose after he died from overexposure to the LSD trait of his Drive.

Truth be told, his otherworldly insights and capability of writing vivid imagery of what he was experiencing made up for his inability to articulate, which is why the prolonged exposure to his ID was well documented and encouraged by Bradley. It was when he began making odd yet accurate predictions to things that lacked probable context that made him far more useful to the goals of the think tank than ever before.

Some of his stories became seemingly more fictional to the other two, as he began writing down stories and sagas of other Drive-wielding entities who were making their way to the think tank. Somehow, he knew of Primus, Gunnar, Cain, Owen, Tait, Damien, and Primal in grueling detail, as well as himself, Amitayus, Bradley, and a lone Brynjar Wilder who was making his way to them as well, in vivid detail. He knew of all things related to the eleven Chompas, including the one who started it all, and when they all finally arrived, he helped establish an end to the confrontation and an answer to the ultimatum.

The group would merge and later create a new universe to call home, without any more risk of universal destruction triggered by The Ragnarok Effect after he and Bradley underwent their transmigrations. While not completely cured of their mental ailments, the trio of intellectual Chompas would make themselves useful by offering a plethora of insight, inventions, and so much more that warriors alone couldn't conjure in their minds. Stian specifically would act as a scribe, a therapist, and general extension of the group who would help create a portal system with Amitayus so that those who were worthy of being influenced by their kind could find their way to The Hub World for mental, physical, and spiritual training and evolution.

Stian would still prove difficult to be around when he was caught in his lucid state of mind, but still proved an asset for his insight, support, and influence as a writer, psychologist, and voice of reason when he was able. He currently documents everything about his kind and those they influence for the sake of immortalizing their lessons and messages to those who can relate even beyond the confines of their new universe.
