A friendly, mole-like creature that inhabits the ground and drops helpful items if it is hit, at the cost of hitting an animal and upsetting it, of course. 

I am looking for a medium to medium-high-pitched voice that is very happy-go-lucky and optimistic, but audibly upset when hit.
