The Curse of Aishavik (Part 2)
Adam Brown for Gumshoes
Gumshoes - Male/Minor Protagonist
The Grand Guru of The Bearded Gulch and a national treasure of Neuhrial, Gumshoes is a wizened sage and monk of a man, with a plethora of advice and teachings, supposedly for any and all situations. Though, sometimes, albeit rarely, there are sometimes gaps in his ever encompassing knowledge. He may be all knowing, but he is also very old, and his age is often one to get the better of him. He might appear grumpy, ornery, and a little rude, but he's been around for centuries thanks to ancient practices, and has sat in the same spot for probably a good 3 ⁄ 4 of his life, where he's helped countless passersby with their troubles, answering their questions and giving them advice, guiding them on long, perilous journeys. He is reveled as a god and wonder by his people, so much so that there's a legend that has arisen where it's said that if you are to eat one of his seemingly infinitely lengthed beard hairs you'll live forever. It's obviously not true, but, y'know. Bon appetit, I guess?

The compass of the moon, and the compass of the sun, treasures lost to time with tales of old bound inside. They will lead you on a quest out west, through the perilous snow to an arctic throne. Follow their shine back home and your journey's end you will find.
Take heed, boy, for the seeds of our present are the plants of our future. Gaze to the past when tending your crop and you too will flourish into something great. Steer only to the new and you will wither.
Life is all about growing… A Beard.
Love that grisly tone and the wise general energy in his overall affectation, and the fun laugh and whimsy at the end was nice, too! Very well done!
