Schmitt (シュミット, Shumitto?) is a supporting character in the Aincrad Arc. He is one of the 10,000 players who were trapped in «Sword Art Online». Schmitt used to be member of the Golden Apple guild, until he unknowingly assisted in the murder of their leader. When his original guild collapsed following this incident, Schmitt used the money he earned from the culprit to purchase gear that would earn him entry to the Divine Dragons Alliance guild. Eventually, Schmitt became the sub-leader of the guild's defense force.
