Cristina21 for Rosey

Voice Actor
Rosey

Unpaid

Rosey is a miserable, wilting flower who sees hope nowhere. She is inspired by characters like Sadness from Inside Out. Although Rosey finds it hard to be motivated, she has an appreciation for the beauty in the world, and paints when she finds the time. She's also very observant and pays attention to detail.

This audition feels like you're focusing entirely on Rosey's accent and ignoring her personality. It especially doesn't help that the accent you're trying is extremely forced, like you're trying really hard without an idea on how to actually sound Australian. I strongly recommend you do some more research on an Australian accent, and work on trying to implement it into your voices while keeping the accent subtle. It's very tough to learn a new accent without exaggerating it, and it's something I'm still trying to work on as well. In any case, you should really do more research on how to speak with an Australian accent.

Like her inspiration, Rosey should sound flat and monotone, as the sad cartoon character she is. If you want to practice an Australian accent, I don't think Rosey is the character to try this on, as you'd also have to focus on sounding dry and sad. I would recommend you try Sunflower instead, as she's much more ordinary than Rosey and Dynamite. Once you have that down, then you can work on doing cartoony characters with elements of an Australian accent in them.

If you want I can focus on the tone and if I get picked I can work on the accent if I hear how it’s said I will pick up on it very quickly
