It's clearly his fault. You were lying straight to his face.  I don't think I'm someone you should've disclosed those plans to.

Then I'll tell it to you. (beat) I don't know anything about my parents, they either died or abandoned me when I was little. I was raised in a comet orphanage, one where they groom you to be one of their drones. It was fine, a pretty good childhood in my opinion, nothing of any particular note. They shipped me from Earth to Neptune before the tragedy and told me I was one of the lucky ones. My friends from the orphanage, no, my family, most of them were killed. And I was lucky enough to live with that guilt.
