Role assigned to: Dave Le

(For actors aged 18-50) Mid-to-low pitch. Looking for a storyteller voice. Read like you are telling the story to a good friend.

This role has by far the most lines in the script, which makes it the highest paying role.

  • He found a little spot on the edge of a swamp. A quiet place where people don’t come knocking. Except for today that is. Today was different.

  • The journey from Pelon IV [PELL-on Four] to Karphibion [CAR-fib-ee-on] took about sixteen hours in Teren’s ship. The Planet was mostly covered in water and marsh, except for the volcanic islands that is, but no one lived around those death mountains.

  • The columns had shapes of massive sea creatures, ornate shells, and frog-style embellishments. A large, black and white spotted Plecostomus [plee-COT-o-mus] fish, presumably a pet, had stuck its bottom-feeder mouth to the wall.

You read at a good pace, Brad. If you are open to critique, I would suggest reading the pronunciation guides for words when they are provided. Some of the words in this recording are said incorrectly.

Sami_Jaz with all do respect I did read the pronunciation guides.  With as many auditions as I do daily, sometimes even when I read the guides I get them wrong.  Usually when I land a job, I ask the person I'm working with to give me the exact pronunciation of the words so I get it right.  Still, I appreciate the critique and I wish you the best in your search.
