Unpaid
Role assigned to: Sam

VOICE RANGE/TYPE: Medium/Any; friendly, but emotional.

PREFERRED ACCENT: North American, open to any subtle accent.

FIRST APPEARANCE: Episode 1

DESCRIPTION: Kate is typically seen as a mediator of sorts, level-headed and honest. She attends university and tends to stray from the spotlight, which is pretty ironic due to her friendship with Natalie, who’s in-your-face personality greatly contradicts her own. Despite this, she has always stuck by her side. Even then, Kate remains timid and afraid to stand up for herself, but, consequently, in dire situations, may become too outspoken. As the events of the series unfold, heavy emotions begin to leak and she finds herself clinging onto others. She is forced to acknowledge her feelings for one of her best friends, Will, as well as come face to face with her worst nightmares.

TRAITS: Responsible | Loyal | Reasonable | Forgiving | Cautious | Cowardly | Anxious | Conformist | Permissive | Pessimistic

ADDITIONAL NOTES: Voicing Kate requires the ability to express complex emotions. You must be able to display intense emotions, such as crying/sobbing, screaming, etc. If you are not comfortable with this, please do not audition for this particular role.

  • 1 | Nervous / Hesitant | It’s okay, Will. They’re right. I guess it doesn’t hurt to face your fears on occasion…

  • 2 | Upset / Scared / Reaching a breaking point | I cannot believe this! You know, I didn’t even want to come here, but you had to insist that we’d all be okay, that it wasn’t real! Well you were wrong, Will. There is no scenario I can think of that lets us out of here alive. None!

  • 3 | Tearful / Devastated | I- I can’t… I can’t deal with this right now. This is all just a nightmare, a terrible, terrible nightmare!
