(For actors aged 25-40) His voice is medium-to-deep and a bit gruff at times. He’s got a bit of a cowboy twang to his voice. Think McCree from Overwatch. (See this video for a sample of McCree’s voice: Overwatch Animated Short | “Reunion” - YouTube

Teren is a simple man. He’s a space cowboy and a pilot. He speaks to others like an equal.

  • [serious] Barlow’s been dead for years. The bounty’s on his replacement.

  • [flustered] Well, uh- you’ve given me a lot to think about. I’ll have to take some time to assess the situation and uh- come up with a new plan.

  • [serious] It’s too big a business to get involved with. Ain’t worth the risk.

Thank you for your audition, TapezVA! You have good voice quality, but the character tone isn't right. This recording sounds haughty, like Gaston from Beauty & the Beast. My character Teren is a simple man. He's a space cowboy with a bit of twang to his voice. He speaks to people as an equal. If you are willing to do another take, I'd love to hear it.

excuse my lack of professionalism in that regard , but im not so sure what makes the voice itself haughty in the first place , so id love to hear a more precise rundown what creates that sentiment in the first place . its kinda hard to fix something if i cannot point down the issue to begin with

Your audition is professional sounding and you have a great voice Tapez! I want my character Teren to sound down-to-earth, friendly, humble, and simple-minded (but not stupid). I've included a link to McCree's voice from Overwatch above, but Viggo's character in Hidalgo is another good example of the type of cowboy voice I'm looking for: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzulT2oMqbE&ab_channel=MatheusGasparideMello Let me know if this helps!
