Kani was a Hutt female who was a member of the Grand Hutt Council during the reign of the Galactic Empire. Between 3 ABY and 4 ABY Kani and the rest of the Council was invited to an auction on the planet Jekara for the carbonite encased body of Han Solo that was hosted by the returning Crimson Dawn criminal syndicate.
Kani should have a deep, guttural voice like Jabba, but should obviously sound more female. Here is a sample of Larry Ward's portrayal of Jabba for reference: https://youtu.be/-Rv9_ZCcp9I?t=39. Kani has 1 line in the opening episodes, paying $5.50, but will have more lines later in the series.
NOTE: All of Kani's dialogue is in the fictional language Huttese, and while pronunciation doesn't need to be absolutely perfect, the dialogue needs to flow like natural speech.
Jee dotmay fa baa maoue. La vee baah bu ree yuna cohka. Jee kacay wa natmahpiniana dah Shu-Torun... fa jotke che bacogna.
(I hope it’s real. They always threw the very best parties. I remember a soiree on Shu-Torun… it lasted for weeks.)
