The ruler of Kanduk, a realm inspired by the Empire Mali, in the world of CotF home of Humans and Dwarves. He stands in the eye of a storm, as the Elvan Empire reawakens and makes its bid for control over the known world again. He intends to play things safe, to maintain peace with the Elvan Empress for the time, which puts him at odds with his daughter who intends to challenge her outright.

Much of his dialogue is taken from West African philosophy.

Voice: West African accent, Nigerian is listed only because it's one of the few regional accent options. Calm but majestic, paternal but patient.

  • [A Dance with Dragons] "I am not blind, nor deaf. I know you all believe me weak, frightened, feeble. Amana is ever the viper. Deadly, dangerous, unpredictable. No man dare tread on her. I am the grass. Pleasant, complaisant, sweet-smelling, swaying with every breeze. Who fears to walk upon the grass? But it is the grass that hides the viper from its enemies and shelters them until it strikes."

  • [King Lear] "The weight of this sad time we must obey. Speak what we feel, not what we ought to say. The oldest hath borne most: we that are young shall never see so much, nor live so long."

I'm literally Haitian-American... My parents are from PaP and Gonaives. Mwen pale kreyol e mwen ka ekri'l... Maybe I should have said Haitian flavored because I didn't want to say Amana as my parents would probably say it nor did I want to make words like "feeble" sound like "fee-bow" because that sounds silly (sorry mom and dad).

And I'm very aware that Haitians have a unique accent. My point was that with Francophone accents, they are similar due to the obvious French influence.
