Character Background: Saia was born on March 12 and is sixteen years old at the start of the story. She transfers to Kodama-yami High School as a second year with her sister, Aisa Mizuguchi. The sisters’ parents died during the school year that had passed, which has led Saia and her sister to transferring schools, as they now reside with their father’s sister in Tokyo. Saia is the brains of the Anomaly Research Club and is more mature than her older sister.
Voice Description: Saia has a cold and stoic way of speaking, her pronunciation of words is clear, much like her sister. She is intelligent and is not afraid to show it, she has a calculative mind and it is apparent when she is deep in thought. On an emotional range, she can go from stoic to contemplative quickly, when speaking to her older sister, she is more casual and usually speaks to her in a scolding manner.
“Hey! Wake up you bum. Get dressed so we can leave, we’re going to be late for school.” (She is waking her older sister up in a scolding manner.)
“Get some toast and shove it in your mouth or something—I really don’t care if you starve. But if you cause us to be late on our first day, your ass is grass.” (She is lightly threatening her older sister to move hastily.)
“It doesn’t make sense and just seems completely implausible. How could the memory of a person be completely erased from multiple people? Especially someone like the student council president?” (She is questioning the events of a mysterious death on school grounds.)
“I’m not sure we’re up for this. We don’t even know where to start and what we’re doing. Just let the police handle it or something.” (She is going against her sister’s wishes to investigate the mysterious death that occurred on school grounds.)
“The trash can boy—Shoji, I think his name was. Wouldn’t he would be the closest to the student council president? Maybe he knows something about what happened to her, might even have something to do with it.” (She is being contemplative about getting a lead on her and her sister’s investigation.)
“I don’t trust that Shoji guy. With the president gone, he took her place by default since there’s no third-years in the student council that could take the spot. Pretty shifty, if you ask me.” (She is making deductions with her sister.)
