Character Description: Akira was born on January 4 and is seventeen years old at the start of the story. She is a second year at Kodama-yami High. After school, Akira is a part of the Track and Field Club as the captain and as the manager of the Basketball Club. Akira is the daughter of a known sports coordinator in the city. She is very competitive and likes to poke fun at her best friends Shoji Fujioka and Keitaro Sato. Akira is known at her school as the most hardworking student, something she greatly takes pride in.

Voice Description: Akira is boisterous and haughty, her way of speaking is energetic and full of passion, a complete opposite of her best friend, Shoji Fujioka. She usually ends her sentences in an upward inflection and keeps her tone constant. However, during more emotional scenes, especially when it comes to her, her voice breaks, as if all of the confidence she had was just false bravado. On an emotional range, she is mostly go-go-go, energetic and joyful but can easily be hurt when her work effort isn’t appreciated.

  • “Hey, hey, hey! New kids huh? I hope I’m not being too informal but did you two want to hang out after school? My friends and I can show you girls around. Name’s Akira by the way, nice to meet you.” (She is introducing herself to transfer students.)

“Trash boy? Oh! That’s just Shoji. He’s just being lazy again and trying to get a few more hours of sleep. I keep telling him to stop drinking coffee late at night, but her never listens.” (She is answering a question and talking about her friend.)

  • “Hope you all like sushi, because it’s sushi night!” (She is very excited to eat some sushi.)

“Shoji, hurry up! I’m starving and a sushi platter is waiting for me to devour it!” (Once again, very excited to get some sushi.)

  • “I’m really sorry you two. That shouldn’t be something anyone should see on their first day at school—shouldn’t be something anyone should see ever, to be fair.” (She is trying to console two transfer students as they had just witnessed someone jump off the school’s roof.)

“Rain check on the sushi. Let’s get you two home before the police start locking down the school.” (She is concerned for the well being of her new friends.)
