D&D NPC Voices Needed Part Deux
JBeacom for Palsdottir
Palsdottir is the past reincarnation of a main NPC in the campaign, and one who has visited the PCs in various dream scenarios. He is a priest (ie cleric) of Gaea, believes in the natural order of the world, has a strong affinity with nature, and is overall a sweet cinnamon roll who is trying to do the best he can. I'm looking for a softer southern accent. Not a drawl by any means, more like someone who grew up in the south, but then moved elsewhere... so there's just this lingering twang to his speech.
I keep trying to find you... to reach out to you, but there is a block of some kind. You won't let me... can't? No, won't. What are you afraid of? [sudden realization, becomes awkward] Well, besides everything, I suppose you actually have a lot of reason for having a hard no on this. Right. Sorry about that. I'll... stop talking now.
Your friends are in danger, more than you realize. You have to get out! WAKE UP!
[As if in a trance; he is speaking a prophecy] When that which has been lost shall be re-found and combined, that which fuels this world will come alive. Hark the past and present fears, for what you know may not be and instead be twisted to serve those who come.
Shortlisted! Question though, what are you using to record? It's a bit muffled.
Audio Technica at 2035. It being muffled might have been an inaccuracy of me trying to equalize the audio also I could change my setup a little bit to help avoid that muffled sound if needed that is something that I could definitely workshop if you would like.
Ah, that makes sense. If you alter the treble too much in EQ, you're going to get that muffled sound. I really love your delivery and acting here. Would you mind submitting another audition but without any EQ? Just so I can get a better feel for your set-up and quality?
I be glad to submit another audition for you in about four and a half hours once I'm off of work. I'm guessing you'd like the same kind of inflection in acting for the second take as well?
Oh no rush! And please! Though feel free to change things up if you wish :)
All right then I'll just get back to you as soon as I can and I'll just try to be genuine well in my acting rather than trying to imitate what I had previously done. It might come out the same might come out a little different I don't know that's part of the adventure of voice acting and acting
