Role assigned to: Richard Gibson

Old Kober is an arrogant old ghoul, and very dismissive of others. He sees caravan as an art and loves to play it immensely. His old age means he is very experienced in it, which also leads to him being dismissive of other people and a sore loser. He is very self-assured about his skills and sees most other people as beneath him in terms of caravan ability. However, he is able to admit the player, having reached the finals is not worth underestimating. His manner of speech is quite refined, despite his ghoulish appearance. He loses his composure if angered.

***Old Kober is a ghoul, which in the Fallout universe is a severely irradiated and mutated human. This means their voices are usually very gravelly and raspy. I will include a couple of examples below.

Audition Lines

1) Kober asked by player who they are, Kober answers derisively with extra emphasis on words with a *. Slightly incredulous and angry that player does not know who he is.
2) Player sits down opposite Kober to play against him. Kober greets him as such and is arrogant about it.
3) Player has brought up some evidence that Kober may be cheating, but tells him that he just wants to play a fair match. Kober appears lost in thought at first, then resolute and almost respectful.

  • Who am I*? Only the best caravan player in this sorry desert. The real question is who are you*? Just some sorry courier who had a lucky break. I was there when caravan was invented you inbred whelp, and you demand to know who I* am?

  • So you're the other finalist. Gotta hand it to you, you've made it this far but your luck ends right here.

  • An interesting play… So be it. Let’s have a fair game and may the best player win.
