Soundwave is one of Megatron's most loyal followers and is mostly mute throughout the entire series, which has been explained by ancillary media by Hasbro as a vow of silence to prove that actions speak louder than words. When Soundwave speaks, it is in random places, but it is most prominently featured a few episodes away from the end of the series, when he crashes his own drives and says the final audition line to the Autobots.
