Skitter is the (female changeling) host of this month's meeting at her house by the Hoofington changelings. (Every month, they meet at someling else's house on a rotation, or whoever's most available.) She is also the primary point of contact with the changeling hive for the Hoofington changelings. Her pony disguise is a stallion named Long Scroll. She is the most experienced of the group, and also likes tea, despite that being a pony thing. Skitter has 11 lines.

  • [having just said "Don't you 'Skitter' me" as Long Scroll just a moment before undisguising] I heard you changing earlier before I gave the okay. This is my house and that means my rules.

  • [firmly] No, Tarsus, we haven't forgotten. But not only do we have a few hours, it also helps to keep up with each other's lives. You know, for our role's sake?

  • [to Tarsus] Very well. We can skip the pleasantries and "gossiping", as you like to call it, for later. [to Spindle and Firefly] Please, help yourselves to some tea or cookies.

:) Thank you! Although you said "Taurus" instead of "Tarsus". No biggie, though!

Sorry, I wasn't sure how to pronounce it. My apologies.

Your acting is great, but I would respectfully contend that it's not an issue of pronunciation, but an issue of reading the letters in the word. But again, it's not a big deal; this is the kind of thing that would be smoothed out with live direction, or later feedback if the lines are recorded without live direction. Not to worry.

I said the "a" like awesome so I read it as Ta-aw-ru-us. But maybe the american reading is "a" for arm fo it's Tar-russ? Just want to know for any future american accent rolls. Sorry again. Thanks.

It's not "Tarus", it's "Tarsus". There's an S between the R and the U. I think this might be what you're accidentally overlooking. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tarsus_(skeleton)

Ah, I see. I've never heard that word before. Thanks, I understand now.

No worries. Glad I could clear it up. As far as I know, in this story, the only weird words that aren't very common (or might be hard to pronounce) are "Skirrax" (made up), "Tarsus" (a real word), and the fancy names for different types of coffee that some non-coffee-drinkers might not be familiar with.
