Tomoya Okazaki is the male protagonist of Clannad. Due to his habit of always arriving late to school, skipping classes during the day, and staying out all night, he has been labeled as a delinquent, or a young person who defies authority. He is very dissatisfied with his life. However, he has a dry sense of humor and pulls jokes on his friends to entertain himself. Underneath it all, he's very devoted and caring.

VOICE: Do your own thing! I want someone who has warmth, authenticity, and a great acting range.

  • (neutral, unhappy) I hate this city. It's full of all the memories I want to forget. Go to school every day, talk with friends, and then return to a home I'd rather not return to. Will this ever change? Will that day come?

  • (shouted, light hearted) Hey, Yohei! Compared to Tomoyo's kick, which hurt more?!

  • (sobbing, it builds to a yell) No, I don't want this... Nagisa, please save Ushio. Nagisa! Someone... someone save Ushio!!!!
