Chris is a character first encountered in Issue 7 of Image Comics' The Walking Dead. He is the boyfriend of Julie and is staying with her and her father, Tyreese, due to personal problems when the apocalypse begins. Chris also acts as the group's babysitter, and eventually, plans a suicide pact with Julie.

"This is fucking bullshit. I'm almost seventeen. I've got a gun, I do okay at target practice. I should be out with Rick and Tyreese shooting zombies. Not in here, fucking babysitting."
—Chris annoyed at having to babysit Carl and Sophia.
"It wasn't supposed to be like this. We were supposed to be together forever. Fire at the same time--it was going to work. Together forever. I just pulled the trigger too fast ...faster than her. Supposed to be at the same time. We were going to be together forever. Together forever. Now I'm all alone--what have I done? Supposed to fire at the same time."
- Chris upset and panicked after accidentally shooting Julie in the chest during their shared suicide.
