The Walking Dead: Comic Dub
TechnicalTim18 for Hershel Greene
Age: Late 50s
Hershel Greene is a main character first encountered in Issue 10 of Image Comics' The Walking Dead. He is the father of Maggie, Billy, Shawn, Lacey, Arnold, Rachel, and Susie. Hershel later becomes a member of the prison group committee along with Rick, Dale, and Tyreese.
Despite his grumpy and cold demeanor, for a significant amount of time Hershel ultimately served as the moral center of the survivors. The man was quick to help people whenever they were in need while also spreading his influence of hope and reassurance, all the while wanting nothing but the best for most of the people around him.

This character could be tricky, but also very interesting due to his complex nature and the extreme emotions he goes through. At times, he can be kind, grumpy, gentle, or cold. Considered the heart of the group by some.
He COULD have a southern accent and/or COULD have an older sounding voice, but don't let this limit your vocal choices at all.
"Shawn was bitten. It was before we put up the barrier around the house. I--I couldn't help him, he died after a couple days... and turned into one of THEM. I didn't know what else to do. So I kept Shawn in the barn. He tried to attack us... to--kill us. But I couldn't kill him... I couldn't bring myself to do that. When we found others... we just... we kept them too."
—Hershel to Rick, emotionally talking about his son's death.
"I lost three kids yesterday, you stupid bitch! Three! Today I find one of you fucking my daughter--Then your husband is asking to take my kids' rooms! And now you're on my ass because I won't let you free-loaders eat all my damn food and fill up my house! Where the hell do you get off?! This is my fucking house. I have a family to look after. I don't owe you shit!"
—Hershel yelling red-faced at Lori, extremely angry.
"I wanted to thank you for bringing us here, Rick. I know things between us-- I was going to shoot you, Rick. I think it's only fair that you know that. I would have killed you. I was out of my mind with grief. I still don't know if I'm back to normal. I just--I haven't touched a gun since that day, Rick... and I don't plan to--ever again. This place--It's special, Rick. It's going to be a new life for me, my kids. This is a new beginning for us. I--thank you, Rick."
—Hershel to Rick, apologetic and hopeful.
