Grandmother is very old. She suffers from memory loss which pains her. She struggles remembering everyone and everything. She's very sweet, but sadness looms over her.
Her voice is old and broken, sounding hurt. This role must sound very convincing as, it's very important to the story.
The following lines were created for auditioning purposes and aren't apart of the final script.
GRANDMOTHER: Ah! My favorite granddaughter, Clementine!
-Mother, it's Constance
GRANDMOTHER: Oh... *she's upset with herself* Y-yes, of course... Constance. Oh, my sweet child, you've gotten so big...
GRANDMOTHER: I want you to have this. Her names... *she forgets for a moment, before remembering* Susie. She was given to me by my grandmother too, many many years ago.
GRANDMOTHER: *coughing ferociously, gasping for final breaths*
