Mom tries to hold herself together. After the death of her mother, she's experienced a great deal of stress however, tries to shield away her emotions for Constance's sake.
She has a soft, motherly tone, with a hint of stress constantly looming over her.
The following lines were created for auditioning purposes and aren't apart of the final script.
MOM: Sweetie... I have some... Bad news... Your grandmother... She- she didn't make it...
MOM: *angry and frustrated* Constance! How could you get yourself into this mess?! Your father and I are already dealing with a lot and now you go and-
MOM: Constance, please try to get some sleep tonight, okay?
Improvise some fitting lines if you'd like
I enjoyed your audition! For future reference, when auditioning, even if you screw up just keep going, (or with editing cut that part out)! Have confidence in yourself! When you stop in the middle and apologize, it reminds listeners that you're just acting. You need to become the character. I think keeping this in mind will help you with future auditions!
