About Sonam Burke

Hi, I'm Sonam. I am a Canadian (amateur) voice actor who sounds a weird amount like Sam Witwer (as evidenced by the amount of recommendations I have that say that). I meet deadlines, do retakes with no complaints, can edit or beta review scripts, I’m not good with audio editing though. The most I can do reliably is splice and normalize.

Official Impressions:
Smeagol/Gollum (Lord of the Rings/ The Hobbit)
Stitch (Lilo & Stitch)
Bossk (Dee Bradley Baker) (Star Wars: The Clone Wars/Battlefront (2015)/Battlefront 2 (2017))
Darth Maul (Sam Witwer)(Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars: Rebels)
Starkiller (Galen Marek/Clone) (Sam Witwer)
The Son (Clone Wars, Sam Witwer)
Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christiansen) [Iffy]
Emperor Palpatine (Sam Witwer) (Star Wars: the Force unleashed/Rebels/LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga)
Frieza (Dragon Ball Z/ Dragon Ball Super)
Imperfect/Semi-Perfect Cell (Dragon Ball Z)
Lord Chilled (Bardock Special, DBZA)

Demos & Samples
Maul Demo Reel

Darth Maul is probably one of my best voices, and I am constantly trying to improve my delivery and sound on it. As a demo, I have recorded this clip of audio, the original can be found in Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7x10, The Phantom Apprentice.

Bossk/Trandoshan Demo Reel

Me and Bossk have a love/hate relationship, in that I love doing the voice, but it hates me. It is a more finicky voice as if I don't do it right I end up sounding like Imperfect Cell from Dragon Ball Z. This audio recording is of improvised audio, In which I probably quote one of the Bossk lines from Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2017).

Frieza Demo Reel

My specific take on Frieza usually sounds more like the Dragon Ball Z Abridged version of Frieza, however this audio file was an audition for a project that required one that sounded more like the Dragon Ball Super voice actor. I call this my accuracy take, as I do use the Team Four Star version more often.

Dude is one of the most passionate people I have ever met when it comes to getting a hold of the character he is suppose to portray. He is super open to criticism and took 6 separate takes just for 1 audition. If you want Sam Witwer, look no further because this dude has got it down pat.

I have been a project or two with Sonam, and he is great guy. He also does a sick Darth Maul impression that sounds very close to Sam Witwer... or, are they the same person? All I'm saying is that I've never seen the both of them in the same room together.

Never thought I'd actually meet Sam Witwer on CCC. It's amazing. Really nice guy too. Cast him. If possible, give him money.

  • @lord-krit

Passionate about his work, wonderful to talk with. Brilliant voice performance can always depend on him. If it's possible, try to cast him if you can.

I gotta say that he's doing voice acting with extreme passion and love.
And to me, he doesnt even need voice changing programs, because he is a real voice changing program

He can turn his voice into many characters such as Thrawn, Darth Maul, Bossk and many more

I wouldn't be surprised if I saw him doing voice acting in TV series. That means he deserves more than that

He's also a very good script editor, he can turn lines and dialogues from basic to expert

I wish he goes to top and have a greater future :)

Sonam has voiced several characters in my YouTube series "Star Wars '98", most notably Darth Maul in my comic dub for Old Wounds.

I can say without any doubt in my mind that Sonam Burke is criminally underrated, and is capable of producing both incredible impressions as well as original voices for new character that showcase an unbelievable vocal range!

On top of being incredibly talented, Sonam is a kind chill and hilarious person to talk to. Any project you can possibly imagine will be better with Sonam in it!
