CA to PA transplant and avid story consumer. Hoping to expand my experiences with storytelling!
The works that brought me into the audio drama world were things like The White Vault, Old Gods of Appalachia, Unwell, and The Sheridan Tapes. These are all such different works - different genres, different vibes, but the storytelling and world building are truly amazing. So I don't think there's a specific thing I'm looking for - just a good time with a good story!
One of my favorite things about The Sheridan Tapes is this thread throughout it that's so emphatic about the human condition. It's so earnest and they have these "B-sides" during the off season that are truly beautiful monologues (some of which I've used for auditions before!). Here is a link to my version of one of the B-Sides, a just-for-fun tape that I made because I really loved the message!
