Cursed with Glorious Purpose

Since the moment I heard Robin Williams as the Genie in Aladdin, I have wanted to be a voice actor. Audio books, radio commercials, phone directories, videogame characters, cartoons...you name it, I want to try it! Teaching for 10 years has given me many useful skills in this field. I have learned how to use my voice for extended periods of time without damaging it, the basics of audio recording in audacity (for choral practice parts), and how to speak with inflection that draws the listener in and keeps their attention - a necessary skill honed in the fires of school-wide assemblies. I also have strong relative pitch, and can impersonate a turkey, cat, and chicken with disturbing accuracy.
