Purple

My professional name is Kyle Barter, however I mostly go by Purple online. It's short and sweet, it's my favourite colour, and it's easy to remember.

I'm currently self-taught, but working towards entering a college course in the Performing Arts. When singing, generally, my style is a somewhat jazzy, rocky interpretation of whatever I may be singing. When voice acting, I generally perform best in more extreme roles, such as unstable/dramatic characters, or monotone, apathetic characters, however I have tried to expand my skillset to include more charismatic and confident types of voices, such as manipulative villains, though I'm willing to tackle whatever challenges come my way.

I'm currently focusing on voice acting full time, and am working on a few different projects in the background, such as a plan for a couple albums and a single, as well as a fan-game of one of my favourite series.

In my spare time, I design video games, which I aspire to create, and write screenplays for animated shows based on the ideas I come up with for characters, stories and locations. Beside these useful pastimes, I simply read, play video games, and watch video series, be it a live-action show such as The Haunting of Hill House, an animated series such as RWBY, or a Japanese anime such as Sailor Moon, if the story hits the right beats, that's good enough for me.

I often find when write stories or designing games, that I create a vivid idea of how some characters sound in my head, and detailed ideas of how to describe their voice. Overtime, this has led me to being able to start working on voice direction, which I am happy to offer my assistance with, and will surely use in future projects of my own on this platform.
