Vesper was a student at Time Force Academy who was attending a history lecture given by Professor Jen Scotts. While her classmates were engrossed in the lecture, Vesper expressed her disinterest and told Professor Scotts that she preferred to live in the present and use time travel to visit the past or the future whenever she wanted. Although she had considered joining Time Force Academy, she eventually decided to join S.H.I.E.L.D. and participate in the Rangers Initiative.
