Webtoon Comics: The Greenlight Dubs
Project Overview
What is this?
This is going to be a series of fandubs for the webcomics that are posted on Webtoon.
For those of you unfamiliar, Webtoon is a South Korean webtoon publisher launched in 2004 by Naver Corporation. The platform partners with creators to publish original content under the Webtoon Originals banner and hosts several other series on its self-publishing site CANVAS. Line Webtoon comics can be discovered through the "daily system" function, along with being read and downloaded for free on computers and both iOS and Android devices. In November 2020, Webtoon established a new subsidiary called Webtoon Studios to license English-language properties.
Requirements:
1. Please make sure your microphone is capable of recording your voice without picking up overwhelming background noises or excessive peaking/clipping.
2. You must have a Discord account, as the comic dub projects will be going into production over there.
3. Your audio files must be sent in a .wav format, though if it ends up too big, .mp3 files will do as an alternative.
4. You need to have a demo reel ready as seeing as we'll be covering many different comics on this platform, we need voice actors with a wide range.
5. Open Ethnicity, POC Actors HEAVILY encouraged to audition.
