Watchmen: The Comic Dub - Chapter 2

Project Overview

A little over a year ago, Duck with an Eyepatch released Chapter One of Watchmen: The Comic Dub and got a small amount of positive feedback. Chapter Two has been delayed due to multiple, unforeseeable circumstances for some time; but Chapter Two is coming and is already nearly finished!

Watchmen: The Comic Dub has several female roles that we, sadly, don't have the cast for (yet!). These small but vital roles will need to be filled by a couple of talented, female-sounding actors willing to fill these small roles as they come up.

Duck with an Eyepatch is a non-profit group of fans; no one involved in the series is profiting from the work. These are unpaid roles.

If you're interested and want to show your love for a fantastic comic, then please send in your auditions or, if you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me here or on my discord: oopyspoopyman .

Thank you very much for your interest and I look forward to hearing from some of you!

An aging former hero from New York, Sally has long outlived her glory days. She talks with a wistful nostalgia for the "good ol' days" and bitterly about the present. She's portrayed both in her mid-60s as well as her late-teens/early-20s in flashbacks.

Content Warning: Character is involved in a scene depicting sexual violence.

  • (Old) Listen, gettin' old, you get a different perspective. The big stuff looks smaller somehow. In the end, you just wash your hands of it and shut it away.

  • (Old) Well, things are tough all over, cupcake, an' it rains on the just an' the unjust alike... except in California.

  • (Young) Boy! Real photo sessions! Do you think my hair will come out looking okay, H.J.?

Role assigned to: Cheese

Janey Slater is a minor recurring role, portrayed both in her early-20s and in her early-50s very sickly and weary. Her voice would need to be softly spoken when young to contrast with a much more strained and haggard voice for her aged up scenes.

  • (Young/Crying) No! Don't ask me! Oh, God, I can't stay and watch. Please, I... I just can't, okay?

  • (Young) I mean, I don't know what you are. Nobody does. You were disintegrated, you put yourself back together... They say you can do anything, Jon. They say you're like God now,

  • (Old/Smoking) Y'see, he doesn't care! He doesn't have to get old! That's- *ahh-huh* excuse me... That why I want the world to know about him, what he did to me...
