He was born to Jake and Nutmeg, and lived as a kittypet named Rusty. He joined ThunderClan to receive the name of Firepaw, and was mentored by Lionheart and Tigerclaw before being assigned to Bluestar. Firepaw was courageous, loyal, brave, and kind. He’s been said to have a big heart, and was compassionate towards those who needed help.
Hello, Smudge.
It’s impossible to run away...
And I’ll fight you again if I have to.
Hi there, kittypet!
What’s a kittypet like you doing out in the woods?
You must have heard of the four warrior Clans that hunt around here!
Smudge is a kittypet, the former neighbor of Firestar when he lived as a kittypet named Rusty. The two were close friends as kittens, and though Rusty's departure to join ThunderClan left Smudge saddened, he ultimately accepted his friend's decision. Smudge is a kittypet and a good friend of Rusty. He is seen greeting Rusty while he sits on the fence of his Twoleg's nest. Smudge wonders if he will go out into the woods, and he disagrees with Rusty when he says that he is. Smudge mentions how another kittypet, Henry, went into the woods and caught a robin. Rusty refuses to believe him as he knows Henry to be fat and lazy. He claims that Henry told him of dangerous animals and wild cats in the woods, yet he gives up with trying to persuade Rusty to stay, and goes back down to his own garden, and Rusty decides to go into the woods anyway.
Hey! Where are you off to, Rusty?
You wouldn’t get me in there, it’s dangerous!
No, really, he caught a robin there.
He was born as Tigerkit to Pinestarand Leopardfoot, the only surviving kit after the death of his sisters, Mistkit and Nightkit. Tigerpawwas apprenticed to Thistleclaw, who nurtured his ambition, and after becoming a warrior, Tigerclawyearned for leadership. He murdered Redtail, the Clan deputy, in hopes of receiving his position, though the act was witnessed by his apprentice, Ravenpaw. Tigerclaw eventually achieved deputy-ship after the death of Lionheart. Tigerstar is a liar and a hypocrite; he hates traitors, but he is one himself, as he betrayed his own Clan, kin, and allies in his quest for power. He also often criticizes and condemns those who break the warrior code but has bent, broken and twisted it himself many times in his efforts to fulfill his own selfish ambitions. He despises kittypets and half-Clan cats, believing their "impure blood" makes them untrustworthy, and is willing to kill them in order to "purify" the Clans.
Oakheart! How dare you hunt in our territory?
You may swim like otters, but you and your warriors do not belong in this forest!
Quick, Mousefur, run!
Oakheart was a deputy of RiverClan under Crookedstar's leadership. He was born as Oakkitto Rainflower and Shellheart, along with his brother, Stormkit. He and his brother were very close, but when Stormkit broke his jaw, Oakkit was suddenly favored by their mother. Oakkit became an apprentice known as Oakpaw with his father as his mentor, and later earned his warrior name, Oakheart. Oakheart grew very close to a ThunderClan warrior, Bluefur, and often snuck off in the night to see her. Bluefur ended up pregnant with his kits, and when she decided to give them to RiverClan, he supported her lovingly and took Mistykit and Stonekit to Graypool to foster, and mourned the loss of his third kit, Mosskit. Oakheart is a charming, caring, and strong tom. He is deeply loyal to RiverClan, but not afraid to take risks or use his charisma to his advantage.
After tonight, Tigerclaw, this will be just another RiverClan hunting ground.
Redtail was a deputy of ThunderClan under Bluestar's leadership in the forest territories. He was born as Redkit to Adderfang and Swiftbreeze, along with Spottedkit and Willowkit. Redpaw was given Sparrowpelt as his mentor, and upon completing his training, he received his warriorname, Redtail. After the death of Sunstar, he was made deputy under Bluestar. He and Bluestar shared a close friendship, providing a strong foundation for their Clan. Redtail was noted to be much more quick and clever than the majority of ThunderClan's warriors. However, he was murdered by Tigerclaw, who wished to become ThunderClan deputy himself, and he ascended to StarClan.
Tigerclaw! This is useless! There are too many RiverClan warriors!
ThunderClan will honour your courage, Tigerclaw, but we cannot afford lose any more warriors to fight against these impossible odds. We will have another chance to avenge this defeat.
Retreat, ThunderClan! Retreat!
Spottedleaf was a medicine cat under Bluestar'sleadership in the forest territories. She is born as Spottedkit to Adderfang and Swiftbreeze. Initially, she is apprenticed as Spottedpaw to Thrushpelt. However, she chooses to be apprenticed to Featherwhisker after the old medicine cat, Goosefeather, retires. After completing her training, she receives her medicine cat name, Spottedleaf. Spottedleaf is kind and is willing to sacrifice herself for benefit of others.
Her wounds are deep, Bluestar, but she is young and strong, she will heal quickly.
But the year is only just beginning. There will be more kits when greenleaf comes.
It was a message from StarClan, fire alone can save our Clan.
Bluestar was a leader of ThunderClan in the forest territories, born as Bluekit to Moonflower and Stormtail alongside her sister, Snowfur. As an apprentice, Bluepaw trained under Stonepelt and Sunfall. When she was a warrior, Bluefur fell in love with Oakheart, a RiverClan cat, with whom she bore three kits: Mistystar, Stonefur, and Mosskit. However, in order to prevent the power-hungry Thistleclaw from becoming deputy, Bluefur brought her kits to live with their father in RiverClan. Bluestar is described as wise, guarded, commanding, and ambitious. She prioritizes doing what she thinks is the right thing, even if it means sacrificing her loved ones. For example, she gave up Mistykit, Stonekit, and Mosskit to become deputy of ThunderClan, even though it was a hard decision.
Perhaps. But training our young to become warriors takes time. If ThunderClan is to defend its territory, it must have new warriors as soon as possible.
Fire? But fire is feared by all the Clans! How can it save us?
There’s never enough to go around, if you didn’t live such a soft, overfed life, you would know that! You threaten our Clan when you take our food, you have plenty of food in your Twoleg nest already. You come here only hunt for sport. But we hunt for survive.
Lionheart was a deputy of ThunderClan under Bluestar's leadership in the forest territories. He was born to Speckletail and Smallear as Lionkit, along with his sister, Goldenkit. He became an apprentice named Lionpaw and was given Swiftbreeze as his mentor. During his apprenticeship, he witnessed Pinestar visiting the Twolegplace, but told nothing to his Clanmates when Pinestar asked him. However, when Pinestar decided to leave ThunderClan and become a kittypet, Lionpaw convinced him to tell the Clanabout it himself, and Pinestar said that he would have named him Lionheart. Sunstar granted him this name, Lionheart, when he became a warrior. He was given Graypaw as his apprentice and trained him and Firepaw when the kittypet tom joined ThunderClan. Lionheart is a loyal and noble ThunderClan tom, skilled and strong in battle.
Than you for the introduction, Greypaw.
Bluestar, this is a kittypet. He should not be hunting in ThunderClan territory. Send him home to his Twolegs.
Bluestar is only offering you training, young kit. There is no guarantee you would become a full warrior. It might prove too difficult for you. After all, you are used to a comfortable life.
