Project Overview
walking on eggshells is a dramedy comic that follows emotionally-constipated animal-people, namely Mayson, a chinchilla who can't catch a break. One day, fate smiles on him when he scores a date with Cleo, the bold and brave cat-woman of his dreams. Things get twisted when a mysterious Russian Blue named Felicia crashes their date, stirring up all kinds of drama and tension. Mayson, stumbling along the way, finds himself inadvertently confronting Felicia, leading to a path filled with hidden secrets and surprising revelations.

Mayson Luis Song is a kindhearted chinchilla lad who makes his debut in walking on eggshells after the prologue. He lives with his two roommates Jadeus and Nathan in Swirly Street Apartments, spending his days watching anime, playing video games, and tirelessly applying to jobs. While rejection letters stack up and the constant nagging from Nathan increases, Mayson struggles with a growing feeling of inadequacy, and his sometimes less-than-supportive parents don't contribute to his self-esteem. Like most of us, Mayson yearns for approval from others, but often finds himself in situations where it's nearly impossible to achieve. However, despite his struggles, he lands a date with his crush Cleo at the start of the story. Lucky man.

Oh, it's just this game I like called Egg Hatcher Pro... basically you incubate creature eggs by walking.
Hard worker and dedicated student by day, parkour aficionado by night, Cleo Caster is the coolest cat on the block. Bold and beautiful, she is the light of Mayson's world. It's unclear if Cleo knows how much Mayson adores her, but she isn't here to play with his feelings. She'll state outright what's what. Though she's spread incredibly thin between work school, and jumping across rooftops all night, she's headstrong and always lands on her feet. (Or does she?)

Felicia Morozova is a tiny Russian cat lady who lives in solitude in a little house on Swirly Street. She has an affinity for vodka and an unquellable temper that people find hard to manage. Felicia doesn't come out much as of late, but normally, she always seems to stir up trouble. Swirly Street residents are enjoying the period of peace, but one still wonders what she's been up to. Is she plotting something? Whittling some more macabre wood carvings? Building more strange contraptions?Bangs and crashes can be heard from her house, so they know she isn't dead. No one wants to come check on her; that would take someone with infinite patience and grace.

Nathan is a big buff caracal who likes to "lightly" bully his roommates, Mayson and Jadeus. He's mean, headstrong, and not dealing with a full deck, intellectually speaking. It's best to stay out of his way. He pays a majority of the rent and makes sure his roommates never forget it. He enjoys eating, cooking, running, and drinking too much. Despite everything, he has a big dumb heart that was, full disclosure, probably broken at some point. Poor little jackass.

Jadeus is a small, quirky coyote man who only cares about napping and playing his saxophone. He dawns a heavy-lidded, unchanging, calm expression and speaks in a vapid monotone (if he speaks at all). You can catch him behaving strangely, such as sitting in odd positions, falling asleep spontaneously in inappropriate places, or making eye-contact for a bit too long, just to name a few. Often missing social cues and sometimes making people uncomfortable with his mere presence, what goes on in his mind is a complete enigma. Still, he enjoys life and doesn't have many gripes with the anyone. (Or does he?)
