Brash and adamant, he's never seen without his taciturn sister, Blue. As he and his sister are indicated to be children, this role will call for a more youthful voice. His hot-blooded nature unsurprisingly means Red Noob raises his voice fairly often, so be mindful of that. Even so, he can rein in his energy at times, so there will be moments where he softens his tone With how turbulent his life has been, this role will require a broad emotional range, especially when it comes to matters involving his family.
(Triumphant/demanding) "...AAAAND STAY DOWN!!!! Take THAT, bucko!"
(Bitter/winded) "[cough] This isn't over... w-we'll be back... YOU'LL SEE!!!!"
(Sheepish/reluctant) "...Sorry about trying to pick fights before."
Jerry is the much happier-go-luckier brother of Tutorial Terry. He appears in demo 2 of Block Tales with Tutorial Terry, who promptly compliments the player's rocket boots while scolding Jerry about breaking the ones he lent him. Jerry is young and brash, as seen by his dialogue all over the game. A hopeful or more energetic tone are certain aspects that would be good to have to demonstrate his voice.
He is cheery and uplifting, so make sure you're able to speak at an above-average volume, like you're excited about something!
(Curious to excited) "Have you used ROCKET BOOTS before? I can teach you!!!"
(Happy/cheerful to distracted/spacey) "Big bro says I'm too sweet to eat! Like candy!!! Hehe... Now I want some candy... Mmmm..."
(Brash/Begging) "Hey, Big Bro! You HAVE to let me try your rocket boots!!! Pleaseee?"
A bright, cheerful young lady hailing from Bizville. You encounter her in Turitopulis and see her every now and then. She's very caring to the player, often showing concern for their well-being. It's worth noting that she holds great admiration for her older sister, who happens to be an adventurer, though it seems she hasn't seen her sister as of late, and this weighs on her. To reflect this, her voice should be energetic, warm, sweet, and encouraging, as well as be able to adequately convey the tone in her more lighthearted interactions just as well as you would her heavier ones. As her relationship with the player evolves alongside the story, you'll need the emotional range to match. Voice accordingly.
(Eager/Inviting) "We should meet up after I do some exploring here! I'd love to hear the stories you have to tell. Good luck out there; I'm rooting for you!"
(Sincere/caring) "So, I really mean it when I say this... It's ok to talk. It's ok to ask for help. If something's bothering you, I'll always listen."
(Concerned) "If what you say about Brad is true... I seriously worry for your own safety."
Hostile and ready to cause crime, Purple Noob is here! With her sword and with the help of Green Noob, she aims to attack the player and their friends without hesitation to prove herself stronger.
To express her character, you’ll need to sound rough and fiery. Not an ounce of fear should be audible in your voice.
(Frustration) “QUIET, you BRAT! You two have NO idea how LONG it took to track you down…”
(Confident) “That's right! The power of PURPLE and GREEN is tough and mean!”
(Aggression) “Come get some, you stupid kids!”
This mayor was once the guardian of the Venomshank! A nasty blade that poisons any of its foes. Mayor Thaniyel was a strong guardian who could crush coconuts with his hands, as well as being a well-known deadlift champion back in his day, according to Mayor Monty. But as of present, Mayor Thaniyel is much older and much more frail. Even garnering a son, Brad Thaniyel, also known as Griefer in Block Tales.
Given his grey hair, his voice should sound mature enough for an elderly person. Because of their similar ages, they usually have a softer tone. Very fragile.
(Somber to spiteful) "Being a SWORD GUARDIAN is a lifelong commitment. But... that SWORD is a CURSED THING."
(Pleading) "Please, Brad! This isn't like you!"
(Calm/Sad) "I never thought they'd go after my own child. My little boy."
Cold, calculated, and determined king of Blackrock, Cruel King!
Blinded by the vision of the future, Blackrock's king uses the Icedagger to ensure his kingdom is never in doom. After battling the Player in Demo 1, he concedes defeat and ceases to engage any further. Realizing that what he was doing was wrongful towards the Player. Now, in the future, he shows a better perspective to the people around him. His voice should be low and cold, with little to no energy when speaking normally. When he’s angered, make sure to express aggression. A harsher tone should be audible when voicing the last line.
(Soft/determined) “With the Ice Dagger... I'll rewrite our history... No matter what it takes.”
(Sincere) “I see greatness in your future, young one. But... I also see trial. And hardship.”
(Angered) “That's enough. I don't care what you've prophesized anymore. The people of Blackrock Kingdom deserve to live.”
One of Demo 3's four final bosses, encountered by the Player upon reaching the Ghostwalker.. Greed, the selfish desire for more, lures the Player into a pile of TIX. In order to pass, the Player must embrace and confront GREED to secure their grasp of the sacred sword, Ghostwalker!
With this entity, you’ll need to sound monstrous along with a pinch of insanity. Go wild with it! (effects will be necessary as long as raw audio is added at the end).
(Crazed) “I’ll take your heart and toss it like a ball!”
(Desperate) “I'll take your hands and make them mine!”
(Taunting) “Maybe I'll use you for my own benefit!”
