USS Defender
Project Overview
USS Defender is a Star Trek fan production based on Star Trek by Gene Roddenberry.
Current Year: 2381 - 6 years after the Dominion War.
Defender departs from DS9 following the end of the Dominion war. She is called from Earth to assist in the exploration of the Gamma Quadrant via the wormhole, since the Dominion withdrew military forces and through the diplomatic work from Odo, the federation has been given freedom to explore, expand and settle within the quadrant.

Commander Bolton is a human female and is the XO (First Officer) of the USS Defender. Her personality will adapt based upon the voice that is cast to perform this role. Cast members will be allowed to have a large amount of input into the development of their character's backstories.

Personal Log Stardate 58291.98. We have been met by a friendly contingent of the Dominion who have wished us luck on our journey and are now set to begin our preliminary scans of the Rakahr System. We are due to be in orbit of the M-Class Planet Rhakar in just under an hour. It has been some time since contact with the planet has been made and we hope to be able to start forming some sort of diplomatic relationship since the planet is no longer subject to the oppression that was the old Dominion. We are hoping that Rakhar may be open to receiving federation citizens and to allow us to have our first planetary envoy in this sector.

Lt Cdr Daltik is the Bajoran security/tactical officer of the USS Defender. Her personality will adapt based upon the voice that is cast to perform this role. Cast members will be allowed to have a large amount of input into the development of their character's backstories.

Lt Belitha Peers is the joined trill Second Officer and Chief Science Officer of the USS Defender. Their personality will adapt based upon the voice that is cast to perform this role. Cast members will be allowed to have a large amount of input into the development of their character's backstories. We also have need for miscellaneous cast members who can be called upon for minor (or episodically more significant) roles such as "The Computer", "Alien of the week", "Redshirt number 7" etc etc. We would like to amass a bank of voice talent that we can call upon dependent upon what the needs of the episode are.
For episode 1 these include:
A Starfleet Admiral,
A runabout pilot,
The Computer,
A Jem HAdar First,
A Vorta.
Some of these roles may become regular roles depending on the avenue that the team decide to take the story, so a commitment to being asked to perform other minor (or more major) roles in future would be appreciated.

We would love to have an Audio Engineer onboard who can help shape our scripts and recordings into something amazing. Inserting sound effects, background noises, vocal effects and all the other things that go to make an amazing piece of Audio Drama.
