The project
Upheaval is an audio drama set in the fictional world of Igaunemolk, a country describable as a "slice of heaven by the coast". For centuries, a hateful rivalry has lived among the residents of Igaunemolk and those of Manuax, prompting the Igaunaŝ government to eventually establish a consulate in Manuax in an attempt to quell this rivalry. A young man named Mèvàlgnò is appointed to the role, believing he could be a force of change in the hate-ridden society that both his father and the president recounted on to him.
He finds in Manuax two things he loves, his new position, and a woman. But their relationship makes no one in Thuelo happy, as seen when Mèvàlgnò is lynched on the street at night. Not seeing this as a warning for anything worse, Mèvàlgnò makes the relationship between him and Edeltha more public, much to the aggravation of the Thuelo residents. The hatred for the outsider eventually culminates in a drive-by shooting, which severely injures Mèvàlgnò and kills Edeltha.
After a lengthy coma, Mèvàlgnò is back to Igaunemolk, heartbroken and traumatized. He takes on another political role, this time within the national government, where he meets a wealthy billionaire and lobbyist who empathizes with his situation and shares Mèvàlgnò's resentment towards the Manuax. Together, they hatch a plan to sting the Manuax society, offering their own people as a sacrifice.
Our goals
We aim to make of this production something unique in both the audio drama and the political-dystopian landscape. We have at hand a unique plot infused with complex characters and motivations which make for a compelling and action-packed narrative.
What we need
Voice actors: We are in need of a large assortment of voice actors for the show, requiring both short and long-term commitments, as well as voice actors willing to work with a phonetically diverse environment. More specifically, we need voice actors who are willing to work with the pronunciations of a constructed language. Nothing too complex, but we will need correct pronunciations of the characters and places mentioned, although they use phonemes common to English, making them easy to learn. This is something our team can work with you, so please do not worry too much about it.
Audio designer: We are in need of an audio designer to compile the audio clips along with music and sound effects and potentially add any necessary effects to a character's voice.
Note: This casting covers the two initial episodes of the show, which will be released simultaneously.

Deferred?We have marked the bigger roles of this project as being deferred, meaning that our cast will be paid only if any income is made from the production. Currently, we do not dispose of the financial means to immediately compensate our cast, but as with any project, the chance for success exists and will depend entirely on the course of the production. We hope you can understand.

Don't worry too much about the pronunciation of the foreign terms in your submissions. Do it as you see fit or follow the pronunciation guide in the audition line.
