Unraveled Future- Animated Webseries Short
Project Overview
^Explainer video is just to show what the animation will semi-look like as well as parts of the story
This project is for my animation portfolio for college (However it will go online). It involves a webseries that I'm developing however the short takes place before the present story. The animation itself will not be fully produced, only partially ie sketchy lines and a monochromatic scheme. I'm doing this to convey basic narrative and storytelling skills.
The scene involves two characters, Aisling and Faaris, both being childhood friends. The setting is a fantasy-like environment vaguely close to Ireland. Faaris belongs to a family of púca (which is a celtic creature resembling of a horse however can take on an array of forms including human, they're also known for telling people's fortune)
Aisling's character is intentionally vague for the sake of preventing spoilers.
The basic outline of the short is that Aisling asks Faaris to tell her future and the outcome is.......interesting.
NOTE: Aisling is pronounced "Ash-ling" and Faaris is pronounce "Fair-is"

(You do not have to do an Irish accent if you're not confident in it, normal accent is fine)
Faaris is an egotistical sweetheart that likes to give half honest fortunes. He has a soft spot for Aisling since they're both part human. (Faaris is half while Aisling is full)
He has no problem blabbering about stealing candy from children but gets flustered when caught doing a good deed.
Faaris may also have a small crush on Aisling.
(off put/awkward) Aissliinng... What brings you here?
(casual) Ah! Don't worry, the manor is pretty vacant as usual. Besides, my family loves guests. C'mon, let's go find a place to settle down.
(paranoid) Wait... Aisling. I don't think this is a good idea. Something tells me none of this will end the way you want it.
(You do not have to do an Irish accent if you're not confident in it. Normal accent is fine.)
Aisling is normally very upbeat and energetic, however in this scene she's in a bad mood.
Aisling comes to Faaris as a last resort to fix her fate, already feeling defeated and worn out. All she wants is to be accepted.
(tired/concerned) Hey, Faaris. I need you to help me.
(serious/upset) I know that we promised that you'll never tell me my future. But this time it's different....Please, can you help?
(curious/flustered) Wait, really!? Is that all you know? Do you know how I can do it?!
