Unfunny | Animated Sketch Comedy
Project Overview
HELLO. WE ARE UNFUNNY.
Unfunny is a group that produces mainly animated comedy sketches for the Internet. We are here to entertain and bring laughter and make sure that people enjoy themselves. Each new comedy sketch we make is fresh and brand new and unlike anything in the business before. We are here to make a mark on the comedy scene, and with the medium of animation, the possibilities are limitless.
We currently are planning to start working on Season 1, which will consist of 12 episodes with new episodes released every month, and we need your help to make our thing possible. From cast members to writers to everything in the open sun, we need you.
We currently cannot offer any payment for your work, as we currently are unfunded. However, we plan to monetize our content and create a Patreon page in the near future and any resulting royalties will go towards paying labor.

We are mainly looking for comedy actors, but being one is not required.
Cast members must have the ability to do the following:
- have excellent comic timing
- do impressions and different voices
- work well with others
- write sketch comedy
- ability to improvise lines
- be active and available, as well as easily accessible
- open to criticism and direction
This casting call is open to all ethnicities. We are currently looking for four (4) cast members.
Please attach a demo reel in place of an audition.
It is recommended that the demo reel contains impressions and characters that you have created yourself.
You must be very flexible and be able to do multiple voices.
As a character designer, you will do the following:
- Work with the writer and director in designing the characters for the comedy sketches
- Create model sheets for the animator to use as a reference
It is highly recommended that you have the following:
- Professional art software and your own personal tablet (digital art only)
- Experience in doing concept art for video productions
- Artistic talent
- Openness to criticism and direction
- Be active and available, and easily accessible
We are currently looking for five (5) Character Designers.
Say something you think would fit
As a set designer, you will do the following:
- Work with the writer and director towards designing the setting and how it will look
- Create a blueprint of the set which will be used to stage and block the scenes
It is highly recommended that you have the ability to do the following:
- Professional art software and your own personal tablet (digital art only)
- Experience in doing concept art for video productions
- Artistic talent
- Openness to criticism and direction
- Be active and available, and easily accessible
We are currently looking for three (3) Set Designers.

As a background artist, you will do the following:
- Create the background art that will be used for the comedy sketches, that gives depth to the scene
It is highly recommended that you have the following:
- Professional art software and your own personal tablet (digital art only)
- Experience in doing concept art for video productions
- Artistic talent
- Openness to criticism and direction
- Be active and available, and easily accessible
We are currently looking for three (3) Background Artists.
Say something you think would fit
As an animator, you will do the following:
- Work with the writer and director to animate the comedy sketch
- Rig character designs, as well as managing the lighting and camera angles
- Collaborate with the rest of the creative team to understand the needs of the production
- Listen to feedback and altering the animations to suit the needs of the production
It is highly recommended that you have the following:
- Professional animation software and your own personal tablet/computer
- Experience in 2D animation
- Artistic talent
- Creativity
- Openness to criticism and direction
- Be active and available, and easily accessible
Say something you think would fit
As a music composer, you will do the following:
- Fulfill all musical needs of the production
- Provide scoring and background music for the comedy sketches
- In the case of a musical comedy sketch, compose and arrange the music for the songs
It is highly recommended that you have the following:
- Professional music & audio software
- Experience in doing music for video productions
- Artistic talent & creativity
- Openness to criticism and direction
- Be active and available, and easily accessible
We are currently looking for one (1) Music Composer.
