TRON: Betrayal
Project Overview
WHAT IS TRON: BETRAYAL
Tron: Betrayal was originally a comic made by Disney in 2010 to cover the time period in-between Tron (1982) and Tron: Legacy. The main story revolves around Kevin Flynn making Clu, up to Clu's betrayal of Tron and Flynn shown in Legacy.
This project's goal is to adapt Tron: Betrayal into an audio drama format inspired by 'The Search' by Samuel Productions from 2016, which adapted the Avatar: The Last Airbender comic of the same name. We will also be having an original soundtrack inspired by the scores of Tron: Legacy and Tron: Uprising. This is a non-profit, zero-budget project made by fans, for fans.
AUDITION GUIDELINES
Find the character you would like to audition for, each character has a brief description to give you a glimpse of the character, if you would like to learn more I would suggest consulting the Tron Wiki or reading the comic itself. After you decide which character to audition for, act out the audition lines and submit it for the producers to see. If a character has multiple audition lines, you are required to read all of them. For the roles of Kevin Flynn/Clu and Alan Bradley/Tron, you are expected to audition for both roles, as in the franchise the programs are based on their User's appearance, and therefore, have their voices.
AFTER THE AUDITION
If you make the cut as a specific character, you will pm-ed on Casting Call, or email if it's provided, and we will ask for your Discord to add to the Tron: Betrayal Discord server. We will rehearse over Discord in order for voice direction to be given, and then lines will be recorded separately and then edited together with the sound effects and music.

Sound like a 1980's-ish Jeff Bridges. Kevin Flynn is a man who is a gifted programmer and has many commitments to his company, his wife, and most of all, the Grid, a digital world created by Flynn. Clu is a program made to be a spitting image of Flynn, with the prime command to create the 'perfect system'. This drives Clu to extremes, he is more cold and brutal than Flynn.
FLYNN
Rome wasn’t built in a day. The Roman Empire started as a collection of huts on top of seven hills that overlooked a river valley. The river and the surroundings made Rome safe and strong. It had some hiccups along the way, but it grew and grew. It grew into an Empire. It became the cultural center of the world, the birthplace of western society. It rose and fell and rose again as something new. Many of the building blocks of society came from Rome. For instance, the concept of medical care being available to all castes, not just the wealthy, comes from Rome.
CLU
Did you even program me to get angry, Flynn? I am frustrated by my faith. I have held my faith in you and tried to do what you intended. You designed me to be you here. You made me to keep order… than you told me to let the natural order be spontaneous. How many cycles have you been gone? Hundreds? I have been doing my best without your guidance, and without the freedom to take action.

Sound like a 1980's-ish Bruce Boxleitner. Alan is primarily a technical engineer and runs most of the business end of Encom due to Flynn's constant absences. Tron is a program created by Alan to 'fight for the users' who Flynn brought to his new Grid to help him keep the peace. Alan is less confident than Tron.
ALAN
The board is getting antsy. You go off the grid for days at a time; no one can contact you. I can’t find you. Look Kevin, they’re in the business of being in business. They don’t get excited by programming breakthroughs the way you and I do. They are excited about the heavy bottom line. They aren’t creative. They still leave that to you. But they’re worried about their golden goose.
TRON
Don’t worry, I’ve got you. I heard reports of a crazy new invention on the Grid before I even saw the portal light up. Hello, Flynn.
FLYNN
Hi, and I was never in danger Tron.
TRON
Nothing to see here, folks. Please disperse!

I’m not blind, you’re going crazy at home and someone calls every few minutes as it is. I know Alan came by last night. Why don’t you get out of the house for a while and work on some new ideas. I know you have them, you always do. And it’s been a while since you mentioned the games.
FLYNN
But you need me here. I need to be around.
JORDAN
I need you to be you, Kevin Flynn. Make me proud. And don’t disappear on me.
