Transversal Animated (LGBTQ+ Project) Team Members Wanted! Casting For Multiple Projects, Everyone Welcome!
Project Overview
So, this idea came to me last year when I was feeling kind of snarky, I had recently come out, and I had heard some of the ridiculous ideas that people have about not just trans people, but the entire LGBTQ+ community.
My goal is to be educational, but also make it kind of funny for people who may have to write or be a VA in a project that may be a bit too real for them. Anyone who is a VA will record their own separate intros/bios about discovering their identity, and we will do monthly Q&A sessions with each person.
Project Plans
Persona Q&As - for this each participant that is a VA will have a digital persona created (since it’s not safe for some of our participants to show their real faces), and that persona will be animated to tell their stories.
Stereotypes - we will be using animatics to breakdown stereotypes of the LGBTQ+ community, we’ve already started with the biggest transgender stereotype, but we’ve been building up a list of all of the stereotypes made about any sexuality or gender identity that exists.
Transversal Adventures - these will be a bit candid based on people’s experiences being out, and interacting with society, we will be collecting people’s stories, sad, good, ugly, etc. We will not connect their name unless they give us permission.
Pseudo Conversion Therapy - this one was kind of a weird one that I came up with based on hurtful things that I’ve heard from my mom just about me being transgender. The idea is to have like a stand that each of our personas walks up to and they’re selling knives through the heart… so basically it’s about how much shit we take as the LGBTQ+ community… and at the end a giant heart will show on the screen and flash all of the pride flags before we all say something about being human, or something like that…
Debunking Videos - this will be made about a week after the release of a stereotype video basically attempting to dispel the stereotype that we talked about...
Topic Videos - we will have different kinds of topic videos depending on what the biggest curiosity of the audience…

Your job will be to monitor YouTube, email, Twitter, etc. for comments, try to delete or hide anything negative (we’re bound to get some), and also help with pushing our projects/any casting calls we may have in the future (I’d like at least five dedicated people), you will also collect comments that are constructive, or any questions for our VAs.
