Project Overview

Hello everyone, and thank you for taking the time out of your day to check out my Transformers casting call 😊


Firstly, as a little introduction of who I am… My name is Daniel, and I am a 23 year old male from the UK. I instantly became a Transformers fan when I watched the first live-action movie when I was just eight years old, and since then I have created many different videos, mainly in the area of Transformers stop motions. I studied Film Studies when I was in secondary school, which has just added to my love of filmmaking and storytelling!


I am currently on track to make an entire cinematic universe where I tell my own story of Transformers, and I’d love you to be a part of it! You can check out my social media pages such as my YouTube channel TransformerFan5000 and my Instagram @tffan5000.


OVERVIEW:

This casting call is in relation to several project installments in my cinematic universe, where some of these roles are recasts, and some are new roles to be filled. Some roles may be lead roles, and others may be one-shots. Sometimes (even if killed off in the story) a role may return in either flashback sequences or expanded universe stories that flesh out their characters more. 


WHAT TO EXPECT

This project is non-paying, however, please feel free to use this as a voluntary experience where you can really experiment with your vocal ranges and refer back to this as a voluntary project you undertook when you do go for those big paying roles that I know you can achieve!


If you are chosen for a role/s, then I will contact you and we will be in touch as we communicate further in regards to the role/s and the screenplay/s. You may also be chosen for more than one role if you are successful.


If you are not chosen for a role/s, then please do not be disheartened. I often reserve some people to voice other roles in the future that may not be available yet.

All I ask is that I myself, my other cast members, my audience, and the project itself are respected. Any type of hatred, discrimination, harassment, etc. will not be tolerated.


REQUIREMENTS

Good quality microphone. All cast members will be expected to record, edit (general audio clean-up and effects if required), and send their lines to me. I am happy to assist cast members where I can, however editing your own audio really allows me to begin production on projects much earlier which will then allow me to release them much quicker!

Sadly I have had many people join and leave the project, this makes it quite difficult to then pick up when someone leaves and having to find the right voice again. If you would like to be a part of my project, you will be expected to return as your role/s if they later reappear in future installments in the project be they small or large roles.


AUDITIONS

Many of the sample lines have been adjusted or constructed to differ from the finished lines in the screenplay to again prevent spoilers and potential plot leaks. Please submit your auditions without any added audio effects applied so I can hear the RAW and natural audition, effects can be added later if required. I am also open to improv and new takes on characters, however, for the recast roles I would like those who audition to try and sound somewhat close to their original voices to try and maintain continuity in my universe.


PLEASE NOTE: Those roles listed as “ROLE NEEDS TO BE FILLED URGENTLY” will be prioritized first. If I find someone who I like as a role's voice before the deadline, then I may choose to give that role out early and close that role.

Some roles may also state “INFORMATION RESTRICTED TO PREVENT SPOILERS!” which is where I am only giving basic information out on that specific role to simply prevent plot leaks. If you require further information or have any queries in relation to a role with this message, please feel free to DM me here on Casting Call Club.

Before the Cybertronian civil war started between the Autobots versus the Decepticons, Bulkhead was an engineer and construction worker, having an expertise in space bridge technology, which he would often be called upon to fix… 

To those who don’t know him personally, Bulkhead can be intimidating… he is big and strong, however at his heart he is a warm and lovable bot who is sentimental and cares deeply for those around him...


Despite his lack of combat dexterity and finesse, during the early days of the war Bulkhead enlisted to join the Autobot black ops team known as the Wreckers alongside his conjunx endura/girlfriend, Moonracer (also an engineer and construction worker). Bulkhead also transforms into a green cybertronian truck.

The conjunx endura to her boyfriend Bulkhead, Moonracer (formerly known by the name of Sewar) is a jack of all trades, having worked in construction and studying the arts of space bridge technology, Moonracer’s main career was focused in the media industry as a news reporter for the TV broadcasts on Cybertron. Because she has travelled far and wide on the planet for her reports, Moonracer has gained an in-depth insight into various cultures of Cybertronian descent. Moonracer is intelligent and extremely understanding. As well as this, Moonracer is an eight-time Iacon champion in five different martial arts, she can REALLY fight! Further to this, Moonracer transforms into a slick light green cybertronian sports car!

Impactor is a realist. He is one of the older members of the Wreckers, he knows his military strategies and is probably one of the most experienced Autobots one could wish to fight alongside. Before signing into the Wreckers as their leader, Impactor was one of the many bots who was slaved into the energon mines. 


Despite his depressive and gritty life so far, Impactor empathises with others well and respects his peers. Impactor transforms into a mining like alternate mode, which appears to have been modified into what looks like a big purple and orange alien tank!

Kup is a veteran, having served in the original Cybertronian defence force, Kup is the most seasoned and has the most life experience out of not only the Wreckers, but of almost any Autobot military unit! Kup served and did his duty, but now he finds himself in a new war between the Autobots and the Decepticons. 


Kup most certainly suffers from some sort of PTSS, and whilst what he has been through would be too much for some, Kup still tries to see the good in people… especially the younger generation. He wants to offer all he can and teach the new generation of Transformers all he can… patient and always willing to lend a hand to those in need. Kup transforms into a cybertronian pickup truck.

Springer is a triple changer, going from robot to car to helicopter and back within seconds, some even refer to him as the bot of the future due to his unusual gift of a third mode. Being a swordsman, Springer is extremely disciplined and respectful of those both above and below him in rank… and much like Kup and Impactor, Springer is always willing to lend a hand. He is a tough Autobot for Decepticons to go up against, and he will go the extra mile to help those in need… even putting his own life in jeopardy if the situation calls for it.

Springer is the type of guy that you yourself would want to follow into battle, although Springer would deny and try to shy away from any sort of promotion to leadership if offered.

Bumblebee went from being a nobody and an absolute garbage of a fighter to almost Optimus Prime’s right hand and one of his top troops. Bumblebee is the Autobots lead scout which often finds him going alone or in a small team behind enemy lines to gain vital information to help aid the Autobots. 


He inspires others and really gets to know people and wants to try and help them reach their full potential! However do not let this fool you… Bumblebee can go from his child-friendly self into serious mode within a fraction of a second, if it’s hitting the fan, then Bumblebee will go all out to prevent any potential harm and protect life at all costs. Bumblebee is without a doubt one of the most bravest Autobots there is out there, and knows any day can be your last, and that’s why he lives every single day like it IS his last…

Despite being one of the smaller Autobots, Arcee is definitely one of the strongest among them! Arcee has incredible martial art skills, and since arriving on Earth and joining the war, Arcee has formed a close friendship bond with Cliffjumper after her previous partner, Tailgate, was killed by the Decepticon Knockout. 

Arcee is a great leader, and knows her stuff… however due to her tragic past and her failures that she struggles to overcome, Arcee tends to dwell on the past and can very easily lose her temper, especially when someone tries to push her down a dark road or threatens those that she cares deeply for.

Just so you know, I spotted Knockout in this region of space too, he seemed to disappear after he saw I spotted him, but I think we gave one another the slip. Still, you can’t be too careful around the cons, especially with an intellectual coward like him!

  • ARCEE (somewhat sarcastic): Yep, and you had to park so far away from out rendezvous point, didn’t you? It’s never a straight line with you is it?

Blurr lives on Velocitron, a planet completely disconnected from Cybertron who have no knowledge of it or of the war that’s raging across the universe. Blurr is a youngster, a confident youngster who is looking to prove himself to… well, the world!


Growing up as a racer, Blurr has never had a decent challenge, everyone was ALWAYS too slow for him, even the fastest in his town can’t keep up with him… This unfortunately has given Blurr a slight ego problem as he now enters himself into the qualifiers for the Velocitronian Cup (a grand prix like event) to prove to everyone that he is the best, and the fastest champion to ever live! Blurr wants one thing and one thing only, to beat the current reigning racing champion of Velocitron…Override!

Ransack isn’t really someone to fear, but he is someone you wouldn’t tell your secrets to either. Ransack is the youngster on the street corner who thinks he is someone big but would RUN if the REAL threat arrived.

Ransack is more of a mischievous and general annoyance more than anything, he hangs around with Dirtboss who has the muscle but not the brains… whereas Ransack has the brains, but not the muscle… so it’s a perfect pair up really… although you wouldn’t necessarily say Ransack is a GOOD influence on Dirtboss.

Ransack lives on the planet called Velocitron, which is completely separate from the Cybertronian civil war.

Bruticus is an experiment really… a test run trial of what a combiner would look like… Decepticons Onslaught, Vortex, Blast Off, Brawl, and Swindle all combined to form the mighty combiner known as Bruticus! 

Bruticus is tall, he is powerful! …But he is completely lacking of direction. Due to this being the FIRST combiner, Bruticus’ multiple personalities combined into one mean that Bruticus s slow to respond as he is constantly arguing with himself which just fuels his anger… however when he has an anger outburst then it’s not good news for those standing in his way, which is why he is a deadly weapon for the Decepticon cause!

Astrotrain is one big powerhouse, even if he hits you once, you’ll be lucky to even be somewhat semi-conscious after his fist connects to you. Astrotrain sometimes serves as the Decepticons transport, whether this is transporting troops or equipment. Sometimes Astrotrain feels like the Decepticon cause is taking him for granted and as a bit of a joke, because if pointed in the right direction, Astrotrain could be a valuable soldier.

Laserback may look threatening and dangerous, but he is the complete opposite. Still young and being brought online right into the war on Earth, he believes there is more to life than just fighting… I mean, there’s got to be, right?

Laserback is a Predacon, and his Predacon brothers and sister do not take him seriously due to his clumsy and very anxious behaviour and so they often avoid him to prevent unnecessary distractions. Laserback is actually quite polite and approachable, which is the complete opposite of what a Predacon should be. The only reason Laserback is still working with the Decepticons and his Predacons is because he is too afraid of the consequences of if he were to leave.
