The Walking Dead Comic Dub Series (Vol 3, 4, 5)
Project Overview
This project is a comic dub series of The Walking Dead by Robert Kirkman. I am currently in production for my own zombie series. However, the animation for the series has been very slow. So the voice actors of my series are helping me on this side project while we wait for the animation to finish.
The video that is used up above is our Volume 1 Finale! This was the big issue where Shane finally snapped and tried to murder Rick. It's one of our best-made videos in the Comic Dub series!
We've got Volume 1: Days Gone Bye and Volume 2: Miles Behind Us finished and we're currently working on Volume 3: Safety Behind Bars.
The Cast so far are:
Rick Grimes/Reggie = Kailynn Harbert
Lori Grimes/Sophia = KatGamez2000
Carl Grimes = Wyatt Chapman
Shane Walsh = Anthony McDowell
Glenn Rhee/Jim/Arnold Greene = Callan Buckley
Tyreese = Robert Harper

The Walking Dead is an American post-apocalyptic comic book series created by writer Robert Kirkman and artist Tony Moore – who was the artist on the first six issues and cover artist for the first twenty-four – with art on the remainder of the series by Charlie Adlard.
I am looking for talented voice actors who can bring these characters to life. Hopefully, my direction will help XD. I am not looking for impressions of the characters in the TV show. I'm looking for people who discover the right voice for the character(s) they have. People who can give their own spin that feels right for the character.
You audition for the character you think you can do well in. If you are given the role, you'll be given the characters FANDOM Wiki page and an overview of the character to help you get to know the character (The overview will also be there in the characters audition spot down below). You will also be given the issues your character is in. Make sure to read the entire issue your character is in to understand the situation the characters are in and to know what lines your character has.
When recording your lines do multiple different takes so I can have a pick at which is the best while I'm editing (3 good takes). Also when organizing your audio files make sure to have an entire audio file of one issue. Don't have multiple issues in one audio file. For example: "Michonne Issue 25 Lines" as one audio file, "Michonne Issue 26 Lines" as another, etc. Be sure to have a listen back to your audio while reading the comics to check if you missed a line.
Mic quality has to be decent (No background noises, no muffled audio, no movement of the mic while recording, etc.)
It is a NON-PAID project. However, like many free projects, I will make sure to share your social media pages and give you exposure to other projects. You will also get experience.
When you receive the character FANDOM Wiki page, the issues your characters are in for Volumes 3-5, and the overview of the character(s) you have: You can get started on the lines.
You will be credited at the end of each issue you're in, links to whatever social media you want to show off will be in the description and I will give you a recommendation for your work on Casting Call Club! I will also have you in mind if I'm working on any other projects if you are interested. However, for now, we're just working on TWD Series.
Make sure you have Discord, Gmail, and/or Facebook Messenger so you can contact you. If you have Discord you can join the server I have with the other VA's :)
Thank you for reading and hopefully, you'll be interested!

Not much is known about Andrew's life prior to or as the outbreak began, expect that he was a drug dealer and had been sent to prison at the Meriwether County Correctional Facility on at least two occasions. He was also addicted to narcotics, and turned to religion to get clean. He also started a relationship with Dexter, a fellow inmate.
A little was revealed about Andrew's past. He, along with Axel, Dexter, and Richards, were encountered by Rick Grimes and Tyreese in the cafeteria of the Prison, which was initially locked by a night stick in the pull slot. The four convicts explained their isolated survival attributed to the wealth of food and supplies that was meant to feed the entire prison population for weeks. When each of the four introduced themselves, Andrew revealed he was in jail for drug offenses. He offered his disturbing opinion on the epidemic situation; he believed God sent the zombie apocalypse to help him "get clean" from drugs. He explained with the undead ruling, he had no way of acquiring substance or selling it. A homosexual relationship between him and Dexter was hinted at, and explored later. Compared to the revelation of Dexter's murderous past or Axel's armed robbery charges, Andrew seemed less of a threat than the other convicts.
Not much was seen of Andrew in the short time the convicts had total freedom alongside the survivors. There was a brief conversation between him and Axel concerning the availability of women now that the new group was among them. Andrew dismissed Axel's claims that because of the women, Dexter would turn heterosexual again, believing in his faithfulness to him and confirming their relationship.

Billy Greene is a character first encountered in Issue 10 of Image Comics' The Walking Dead. He is Hershel Greene's youngest son and the brother of Maggie, Shawn, Lacey, Arnold, and the twin sisters, Rachel and Susie. At the prison, Billy quickly becomes a great shooter and, eventually, one of the few motivations for Hershel to survive.
Not much is known about Billy's life prior to or as the outbreak began, except that he was born in 1985 to his mother and Hershel Greene and worked on his dad's farm as a farm hand.
Billy was depicted as a boy in his late teens with a brash, rebellious personality, commonly speaking out resulting in a verbal back-lashing from his father for his choice of words. Billy first encounters Rick and the others when Otis accidentally shoots Carl during a hunt in the woods, mistaking the boy for a zombie. Like most of his family during this first encounter, Billy never spoke on page and was seldom seen throughout the group's time at the Greene Family Farm.
Billy, along with everyone else at the farm, left for the prison with Rick and Dale in Dale's RV. Billy, Tyreese, Andrea, and Glenn go to clear the gym of walkers, but decide to bail when things get into strife. His rebellious side also surfaced when he joined the group attempting to clear out the gymnasium, without Hershel's prior knowledge. Billy is shown to be helpful with the chores, most often seen helping his father to attend the prison's garden. It is during this time that his younger sisters, Rachel and Susie, were found brutally decapitated in the barber shop, and when Billy finds out, he is deeply saddened by the loss of two more members of his family and in his sorrow blamed his father for their deaths, believing they would still be alive if Hershel had kept them at the farm. In response to these accusations, Hershel begins to hit Billy, telling him to never talk back again. Despite this Billy was with his dad during Thomas' "execution" at the hands of his sister Maggie and again when Rick and others threw his body outside to the zombies swarming against the outer fences. Unlike Hershel, Billy seemed unable to handle the sight of Thomas's corpse being devoured by the undead and was seen walking away while Hershel stood and witnessed the event. Billy's ability with firearms has also surfaced during his time in the prison, first during the gym clean-up attempt and later when Dexter's attempted coup resulted in a flood of zombies from A-block getting into the prison yard, forcing him to take up his handgun.

Michonne is strong willed, introverted, practical, and skeptical. She is constantly surveying her surroundings, and is quick to size up a situation and its potential dangers. She is very skeptical of seemingly good people and situations, and takes everything at face value.
Despite her introversion due to post-apocalyptic trauma, Michonne claims to have once been quite gregarious. With this internal conflict, Michonne, perhaps to a fault, too easily falls in love with men she interacts with. Her true self is further repressed each time her lovers meet their fates, despite Michonne knowing full well how short life can be in the new world.
Michonne acknowledges just how far gone she is, and this constantly pains her. From losing all of her past lovers to abandoning her children, she has become someone she hates. She often exclaims her disdain for being seen as strong, because she thinks others see her as nothing more than a warrior and a weapon. Despite this, she is extremely loyal to her friends, and has developed a very close relationship with the Grimes family.
Michonne tends to work alone and quietly, but still fights for the survivors' defense as strongly as the other active defenders. She is frequently referred to and perceived by the other characters as one of the strongest members of the survivors, and frequently participates in the violent, but necessary, actions of the group, such as the conflict against the Governor and his henchmen. Her participation in the torture and slaughter of the Hunters showed a much more detached side of her than ever before. She admits in her imaginary conversations with her boyfriend that she cares for the group, showing that some humanity remains despite her torturous experiences. Michonne has shown from her break-down after torturing the Governor that she is still capable of vulnerability.
Despite her experiences, Michonne has proved her worth to the group, not only in her practical skills with her katana, but also in her constant participation in moving the survivors forward and keeping the group safe. She is the only survivor who arrived post-prison and pre-Woodbury. She remains a vital member of the survivors. Douglas Monroe appointed her constable along with Rick Grimes shortly after their arrival at the Alexandria Safe-Zone. During the war against the Saviors, Michonne proved to be valuable soldier. After the Battle of Hilltop she went to fish with Oceanside.

(Talking about Rick, remembering the past, hopeful for what Rick has created)
"Michonne was someone who carried a lot of guilt. It haunted her... had her talking to ghosts, pushing people away, and forgetting who she was. Hawthorne was my ex-husband's name. I never changed it after the divorce because my practice knew me under that name. Eventually, the name was just a painful reminder of a failed marriage and lost children. So I hid from it... and who I was. Now? I feel like I earned it back, the work I've done, what I've accomplished. It's who I am now. I never would have been able to do that without your father... and the world he built. There are some people out there who feel like your father gets too much credit. There were so many of us helping him along the way. Sure. But I feel like he still doesn't get enough credit. So every time I have a chance to set something right or honor the man in some small way--I take it."
(Tough, giving advice)
"Those people have families that live in your community... they need you. You're not going to let them down. If you're really this much of a pussy, do what you do best... act like you aren't."
(Crying while being threatening and sinister to the man that just raped her)
"I'm--I'm not crying for me. I'm crying for you. I think about all the things I'm going to do to you and it makes me cry. It scares me."
Brian Blake, better known as Philip Blake or by his epithet "The Governor", is a main character and an antagonist first encountered in Issue 27 of Image Comics' The Walking Dead as well as the protagonist of The Governor Special. He takes his brother's name after Philip dies, and even adapts his personality through an out of body experience, and never revealed his real name to anyone in Woodbury. He served as the primary antagonist from Volume 5: The Best Defense to Volume 8: Made To Suffer.
Prior to his arrival at Woodbury, Brian Blake was nothing like the villain he would become. He was a meek, insecure, and generally good-natured man. Weak and cowardly, he relied of the protection of his cold younger brother, Phillip. His insecurity took it's toll on him as days grew darker and humanity crumbled, and he ultimately succumbed to carnal instincts. To assure he would never be weak, he assumed his brother's identity as Phillip Blake.
As the Governor, Brian drowned in self induced psychopathy. He became utterly convinced that only the Phillip Blakes of society could make it in the world and that the Brians were destined to die. Against his internal ethics, he forced himself to commit atrocities to harden himself for the new world and repress the man who he once was. His true self emerges occasionally against his will, and he struggles with this severe internal conflict throughout his life as the Governor, rendering him insatiably callous, vengeful, belligerent, and paranoid. His thirst for power and blood to constrict the good within him is the dominant driving force of his character. He also showed intensely sexually perverted behaviour, such as raping Michonne and a sexual attraction to his dead niece. Despite his savage and perverse actions, he was a charismatic and well loved leader among the survivors of Woodbury, and was a skilled manipulator, as he never really cared for any of his people and only used them for his own benefit, even when they were attacking Rick's group at The Prison. However, his selfishness and sole goal of seeking revenge on Rick's group and sacrificing many of his own people ultimately led to his demise at the hands of one of his own people, Lilly Caul, who saw Brian for what he really was: a sadistic monster.
When Rick Grimes, Glenn, and Michonne Hawthorne reach Woodbury, Martinez hands them over to The Governor. The Governor appears friendly at first, but, soon reveals that he intends to feed them to Woodbury's group of captive zombies if they don't tell him where they've been hiding out. Rick, Glenn, and Michonne continually refuse to disclose this information to The Governor. Frustrated over their lack of cooperation, The Governor cuts off Rick's hand to try and intimidate him into giving up the location of their base camp. Seeing The Governor's horrific act, Michonne retaliates by biting off a portion of his ear. After Bruce pries Michonne of him, The Governor has Michonne and Glenn locked away and sends an unconscious Rick to the infirmary.
After having his injury treated by Stevens, The Governor is informed by Bruce that Michonne is ready for interrogation when he wants to proceed. The Governor asks Bruce to immediately show him to Michonne's location so they can begin. After getting Bruce to tie Michonne's legs to the walls, The Governor proceeds to rape and torture Michonne. After finishing up with Michonne, The Governor informs her that he will be back to continue torturing her later before heading back to his apartment. After he arrives, he is rushed by Penny and retaliates by giving his zombified niece a backhand. The Governor apologizes for his actions and notices that Penny has knocked over her food bucket, fixing it for her. Afterwards, he is visited by Gabe who gives The Governor the items he wanted brought to him earlier, including Rick's hand and the zombified heads of some of his victims. The Governor feeds Rick's hand to Penny before adding the zombified heads to his collection of them contained in fish tanks.
Much later, The Governor begins to interrogate Glenn. After Glenn refuses to give in to his demands, The Governor has him moved to a cell adjoining Michonne's cell so he can listen to her screams while The Governor tortures her. After finishing up with Glenn, The Governor resumes his torture of Michonne, once again raping and beating her, all while Glenn is forced to listen from the adjoining room. After finishing with his torture of Michonne, The Governor heads over to Woodbury's clinic to see how Rick is recovering from the loss of his hand. When he arrives, The Governor informs Rick that he will be fighting in the Woodbury arena as soon as he has fully recovered and lies by telling Rick he has let Glenn go free. Rick asks him why he would do such a thing and The Governor responds by telling Rick that Glenn told him everything about his group, including that they are based in a nearby prison, horrifying Rick. The Governor then leaves a speechless Rick to himself in the clinic and discusses his strategy with Bruce and Gabe outside, his men telling him they don't think Rick fell for it. However, The Governor tells them both that he definitely did, saying the expression on Rick's face was more than enough of a giveaway to indicate that his group is indeed based at a nearby prison.

Caesar Ramón Martínez, more generally addressed as Martínez, is a character and an antagonist first encountered in Issue 27 of Image Comics' The Walking Dead. He is a fence guard in Woodbury and one of The Governor's most trusted allies. Martinez helps Rick, Glenn, Michonne, Dr. Stevens, and Alice escape Woodbury. He served as an antagonist for Volume 5: The Best Defense and as the secondary antagonist of Volume 6: This Sorrowful Life.
Martínez was a gym teacher and a children football coach before the outbreak. He divorced and never had kids, and he was not on speaking terms with his parents.
His school had been designated as a "safe zone" once the outbreak began, and it was soon home to many of the children and parents that lived in the town. He played basketball with the students before the "biters" overtook the school. Once the zombies overran the school, they killed most of the people inside, while the others (including Caesar) ran for safety; an action he would always regret.
Martínez was first seen when Rick, Glenn and Michonne first arrived at Woodbury. He, Wes and several other guards cleaned out the area around the fences of biters to let them in. After they had been weapon checked, Martínez offered to take them to see the Governor before he showed up to give the group a tour himself.

"You selfish piece of shit. You've got the--room--the supplies for everyone in Woodbury--the whole damn town! Everyone. Fencing off the streets--protecting the town--it doesn't work that well. Biters--they always break through--we're constantly repairing fences. The prison is secure. My people deserve to be safe, too. (...) The Governor is--what he is. He sent me--but I'm not bringing him here. The others--women--children--not bad--good people. We'd be getting away from him, too. They wouldn't hurt you--your family would be fine."

Bruce Allan Cooper is a character and an antagonist first encountered in Issue 27 of Image Comics' The Walking Dead. He is a resident of Woodbury and is one of The Governor's right-hand men and most trusted allies. He served as the secondary antagonist of Volume 7: The Calm Before.
Not much is known about Bruce's life prior to or as the outbreak began. He may had lived in or near Woodbury before the outbreak.
When Rick Grimes' small group entered Woodbury, he was present when The Governor was explaining the arena fighting, and was ordered to close the door by him. Following The Governor's declaration of feeding strangers to the biters, Bruce held Michonne Hawthorne prisoner and cautiously watched her. Shortly after, he was ordered to pin Rick's head to a table, and witnessed the forced amputation of his hand. Michonne, in retaliation, jumped upon The Governor, but, was ripped away by Bruce, although she managed to tear part of his ear off with her teeth. Bruce awaited orders to kill her, but, was reprimanded by The Governor, who had other plans in store for her. Bruce later went to The Governor, who ordered him to restrain Michonne, rip off her pants, and tie her legs separately to opposite walls so he could rape her. The Governor dismissed Bruce, and commenced his raping. He waited outside for the rape to finish, and allowed The Governor out when he had. A while later, he opened the door a second time to allow The Governor inside for "round two" with Michonne. Afterwards, he, along with Gabe, accompanied The Governor to Rick's hospital bed, and pointed his gun at Rick. Later, he was present alongside The Governor and Gabe, as The Governor announced that their plan with Glenn had worked, and it was only a matter of time before the location of the prison would be revealed.

Gabriel Harris, better known as "Gabe", is a character and an antagonist first encountered in Issue 27 of Image Comics' The Walking Dead. He is a resident of Woodbury and one of The Governor's most trusted allies. He served as an antagonist for Volume 5: The Best Defense and Volume 6: This Sorrowful Life and as the secondary antagonist of Volume 8: Made To Suffer.
Not much is known about Gabriel's life prior to or as the outbreak began. It is possible that he was a resident in Woodbury before the outbreak began.
When Rick Grimes' small group entered Woodbury, he accompanied The Governor during his tour for the newcomers, along with Bruce. Following The Governor's declaration of feeding strangers to the biters, Gabe held Rick at gunpoint with his pistol. Later that night, Gabe delivered the heads of the helicopter occupants to The Governor, as well as Rick Grimes' severed hand. The Governor thanked him, before ordering him to not let anybody disturb him for the rest of the night. Shortly thereafter, he visited Glenn's room, where he overhears Glenn sobbing over and over that he wants to go home. Gabe enters and explains that Woodbury was his new home, and orders him to get up, as he had a new room ready for him. When Glenn collapsed, Gabe ignored him, leaving his body sprawled out on the floor on the way out. Immediately after, he reported back in to The Governor, and suggested that the group had come from a prison, as there were no police markings on their riot gear. The Governor agreed, and began beating Glenn, as well as torturing and raping Michonne Hawthorne again, before ordering Gabe to shut Glenn's cell. Afterwards, he, along with Bruce, accompanied The Governor to Rick's hospital bed. Later, he was present alongside The Governor and Bruce as The Governor announced that their plan with Rick had worked (although Gabe was skeptical), and it was only a matter of time before the location of the prison would be discovered.

Dr. Stevens (first name unknown) is a character first encountered in Issue 28 of Image Comics' The Walking Dead. He is the head doctor and a resident of Woodbury.
Nothing is known about Steven's life prior to or as the outbreak began, other than he was a surgeon.
Stevens and his young assistant, Alice, treated all of the citizens of the town who were sick or injured, as well as those who participated in the arena duels despite his many protests. He didn't agree with the Governor's views or beliefs, especially with what the Governor was doing with the town's newest visitors (i.e. Rick, Michonne, and Glenn).
He was in the middle of treating one of the arena fighters, Harold, when another arena fighter, Eugene Cooney, marched into the clinic and stabbed Harold in the neck for knocking out a good chunk of his teeth, albeit on accident.
After treating Rick's severed hand, the doctor fled town with the aforementioned survivors, along with Alice and Martinez in order to escape the Governor's tyrannical rule. On the way out of the town, a woman by the name of Marianne Williams runs into Stevens. She informs him that her son, Matthew, has a fever. Stevens sadly tells her to make an appointment later, knowing that he will never be back in town.
Stevens barely made it out of the town before he was bitten by a zombie. He was the first one over the fence, but, a roamer came up from behind him and bit him. As he was dying, he begged Alice to continue his work by taking care of the group.

Alice Warren is a character first encountered in Issue 29 of Image Comics' The Walking Dead. She is a resident and a nurse of Woodbury. Alice is very useful when it comes to needing medical assistance, as she learned all of her medical skills from Stevens. She later joins the prison survivors, and proves essential to the group during Lori's birth by helping to deliver her baby.
Not much is known about Alice's life prior to or as the outbreak began, except she was from Atlanta and went to Georgia State University. Prior to the outbreak, she was an interior design student.
After the outbreak occurs, Alice holed up in her dorm within the university. It was turned into a "safe haven", though as time went on Alice abandoned her shelter and eventually came to live at Woodbury.
Alice helps Stevens patch Rick's hand up, after it was chopped off by the Governor. When Rick attacks Stevens, Alice sedates him.
Alice is left to watch over Rick when Stevens leaves to get some rest. When Rick asks her if she and Stevens are in a relationship, she denies it. She accompanies Rick, Glenn, Martinez, and Stevens on their escape from Woodbury. Unfortunately, Stevens is bitten by a roamer on the way out, forcing Alice to leave him. The loss of Stevens made her the de-facto physician of Rick's group. During her time with the group, Alice notes that she and her original group of survivors refer to the zombies as "biters," because while some do lurk and some may roam they all will bite and to classify them into separate groups is a silly practice. Its uncertain if her original group of survivors are still alive, dead, or undead, or are currently residing in Woodbury. And if they are, their current status is still unknown. She arrives to the prison with the others, only to find it seemingly overrun. She saves Glenn when he drives a car into the courtyard and crashes.

"You know what bugs me, Rick? Nobody is out here asking "Why?" anymore. And if they are--they're not doing anything to find out. Maybe you think the problem is beyond us, but I, for one, would like to at least attempt to find out the cause of all this insanity. And the only way to do that is to study them--while they're still alive or whatever it is they are. And I can do that safely without anyone getting hurt. I'm a smart girl, Rick. I can do this. Think about the possibilities. What if I discover an easier way of killing them? Something that doesn't involve bullets--or anything else we could run out of. What if I find a cure? Bob Stookey is a character first encountered in Issue 29 of Image Comics' The Walking Dead. He is the local town drunk of Woodbury and a former army medic. He saved the Governor's life after Michonne's assault and gave up drinking after.
In issue 43, Bruce and Gabe find the Governor barely alive in his apartment. After Dr. Stevens and Alice had escaped, Bruce goes down to fetch Bob so he can save the Governor's life. Bob claims he can't do anything because he wasn't an army medic for long but Bruce forces him to try. Bob is repulsed by the site of the Governor's mangled body, but snaps out of it and manages to save his life. The Governor trusts Bob with looking after Penny whilst he is away attacking the prison.
